Vegas always counts homefield as 3 points but LSU at night is at least worth 7 points because it truly is the rowdiest place in the country. The fans only leave early when they don't get greatness. That's reasonable because the fans always always give greatness because that stadium is so insanely loud.
Vegas does not always use 3 points as HFA. I can't find it, but I have read that LSU is given 5 points. I did find this:
Las Vegas bookies' average line: 5.08 points
Las Vegas bookies' median line: 5 points
Las Vegas bookies' mode (most frequent) line: 3 points
Home field advantage: 3 to 5.08 points

It will be a good SEC game like most years.

They've lost to every team they've played that had a pulse.
Now to be fair those games were close and LSU was help back by Less Miles.
Now honestly LSU will have to play perfect to win. And even with a perfect game LSU will. Red a lucky bounce or two. I think Bama is at another level this year.

I don't see either offense scoring a ton of points. I think it's going to come down to what QB can not lose the game and maybe make a play or 2. This is the first year since 2012 I think LSU will win.

Realistic?
We win easily because we are are far better team with a far better coach.
We stomp the team with a coach that has a ~5-22 record in the SEC
Jerry Dinardo beat Nick Saban in the independence bowl.

Just hoping that LSU wins so I can talk shite to my friend from Bama

Neither of those games was at home
Makes no difference where the game is played. All the difference is in between the lines and the crowd doesn't play the game.

Now the season has unfolded somewhat, who has Bama beaten?
Bama has played a vastly tougher schedule than LSU it's not even up for debate. LSU has played exactly two decent teams and lost to both.

Bama has a QB who can't pass
You sure about that? He's comparable to McCarron at this point in his career.

Bama won't run the ball on LSU
LOL - We ran all over your asses last year. We don't have Henry but we have a stable of excellent backs with plenty of depth and our OL is playing well.

And Bama's secondary is still mediocre
This maybe your dumbest observation
quote:
All of the above explain exactly why LSU is going to win

quote:
LSU will run the ball on Bama
Your OL still sucks and our DL is just as good if not better
quote:
which means play action will expose Bama's secondary even more.
Glad no one has tried that before
quote:
Bama cannot cover DJ Chark and Desean Smith.
LOL - our secondary can hang with anyone

Ban bet me Gumps if you feel so strongly about this 2016 greatest of all time team.
You will slink off to your hole like last year.

Bama has a fantastic team. Taking my P&G glasses off looks like an uphill battle for LSU. Aranda's crew has to play lights out for LSU to be in this game.

Here's what a lot of people are missing about this game being different than previous years: Miles did not coach well under pressure. He tried solely on the base talent of his guys to eek out victory. Ed, Aranda, and Pete I believe will do better AS A TEAM coaching under whatever pressure is there. As far as expectations go: nobody is expecting LSU to win this game (let's be honest here). So, the players can play loose, fast, have fun, and just let it all hang out without the weight of championship or bust aspirations weighing them down. That, plus DV on a Sat night! Man, ALL the weight and worry and stress is on bamas side. If they can tote it, then so be it. But if they crack just a little, we have the tools and ability to destroy them.
At any rate, I think it will be an interesting game no matter what happens.
Geaux Tigs!!!!

Isn't he like the winningest LSU coach of all time?

Total subjective opinion. Bama has been slaying teams on the road.

Yep and he had arguably the best talent during his time at LSU that LSU has ever had.

Miles won a lot of games and is a good coach. Now I will agree he had just lost the plot and it was time for him to move on.
LSU and Les kind of reminds me of Bama and Stallings. Great coach and great guy...won lots of games....but it seemed like he couldn't progress because of his offensive philosophy.

We have a lot of talent, but Saban's recruiting is unbelievable. Bama just has a lot more talent. We have a chance if the team is focused, everyone executes their assignments for the entire game, and we don't turnover the ball.

Imo, bama is going to be ableto run right at LSU for 3-4 yards a carry. They need to be like the Auburn game with a bend not break defense.

Alabama's defensive line is the best in the country. If they go off, it could be a long night for LSU. If the coaching staff for LSU makes the right adjustments early, or if they come out with a great game plan, it should be a terrific game. I'm thinking we have to do well with intermediate to long passing plays to set up the run. Short passes could be a problem (turnovers and pick 6's, tackles for loss). Our defense will be our strength. Have to create turnovers as well as third and longs to get three and outs. Basically, we have to outbama Alabama.
Thanks for the positive post. I wish we had more fans like you on the board. Geaux Tigers!!
