No, it doesn't. You can argue the incidental helmet to chin contact, but the initial hit is to Burrow's right arm pit.

The "incidental" part cannot be used as an argument. But, but, Mascona said that Devin White's helmet hit NF's helmet so by the letter of the law it was targeting.... and this was much more violent and more along the lines of protecting a defenseless player.
My main beef is that we get conservative at times.... like in the A&M game with first a goal in OT and we run three QB power runs...

He also does a poor job on 2nd a 1's near the red zone... take a shot man.

Lastly, we do not utilize the WR screens (bubble and jailbreak) like we should. Our WR's were the strength of the team but it seems like E thinks the only way to get them the ball is a 7 step drop with a long route tree.

It was comical in the offseason to hear about them visiting NFL teams... namely the Saints. There is NOTHING remotely similar between what the Saints do and what E chose to do this year.
Not really sure what classifies as "hard working" to u guys but I was at the game and he was solely responsible for about 5 ULM offensive rebounds because he didn't box out.

OMG.... people who say it's all about effort either have never played basketball or have never played basketball at a high level.
They get beat one on one too easy and half the team collapses when this happens... thus easy kickouts. Couple different ways to address this the best way is to guard the ball better.

I'm more concerned about the lack of movement and chemistry on offense. Thank God for waters and Mays.

Move the student section back to where it used to be

This... it seems to be the most practical common denominator. I was at center court in college for Jabari Smith's fake pass dunk against 'Zona. The place was freaking crazy.

Without an offensive line that can block and give your QB time to throw, NO scheme will save us against Bama.

It's hilarious. An NFL all pro safety that actually played for Nick Saban says 100% it's scheme and some on here continue to scoff at this idea and beat the Oline drum. What does Ryan Clark know right?

Have you ever played a down of football? Abusing yourself all week to prepare for abuse on the weekend is not the right way for a fully developed adult athlete. You abuse yourself in the off season

While what your saying makes sense there is certainly an argument against it. Maybe not apples to apples but Michael Jordan worked out even on gamedays.

I think our bodies respond to what we we put them thru.... and although rest is very important for gains going hard everyday can have benefits as long as it doesn't cause injury.
Burrow has regressed.... never saw that coming.

Same rules you guys make don't seem to apply to you too, do they?

A couple of differences... one, Bama's schedule has sucked there's no disputing that. Second, LSU would have won the division and the SEC. This one is the kicker.

The argument is consistently made about college football and the regular season being the "playoff". This does not apply to Bama is seems. Look, I'm not saying LSU will beat Bama this weekend nor do I think they will. All I'm saying is how in the world would you include a team in a 4 team playoff that didn't win their division much less the conference AND played a much weaker schedule than will be other 1 loss power 5 conference champions?

Yes, they can only beat themselves.

All I really wanted to know is if Burrow is an upgrade over Danny Etling

Danny Etling had much better numbers than Burrow. With that being said I've never really seen a better example of numbers not telling the entire story than comparing burrow to Etling.

Etling never challenged the middle of the field. Burrow does. Etling couldn't make the big throws in big games. Burrow does.

Essentially Burrow passes the eye test... Etling really didn't. Alabama fans should be familiar with the "eye test" as they have won a few national titles because of it.

One more thing to chew on. This season and QB play reminds me of Mettenburger in 2012 pre-bama when you could tell the skill set was there but it wasn't translating into big numbers. The Alabama game is really when Mett came into his own and took the next step.

I'm not sure they can get anything going. We all know that LSU has no offense and that State has the top defense in college football. So, how can LSU score more than 10 points? or 9, since our FG kicker is really good at least?

The current NFL rosters say hello?

as should LSU fans.

Patience dog... Saban gettin old. He can't coach forever.... things are cyclical even at Alabama.

Teenagers think profanity is edgy.

At 28 I can only shake my head at my own foolishness as a student. Most will outgrow it.

The problem is the 44-year-old adults who think this is cool.

This....

Unfortunately as a society we are getting closer to "ow my balls"

Don’t take your kids to a PG 13 movie

It's funny.... some of the same people that complain about the stadium not being full are the same people that make this argument. The simple fact is that when parents can't take their kids to the games it sometimes means that they can't go to the games.... so there's your empty seats.

Because they are one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the West, and they play Alabama the week before Tua comes back. That seems relevant in a thread about when Tua will come back from injury. No? Am I taking crazy pills? Why is this board going so crazy lately?

This should be news.... but Bud Kilmer will find a way to inject Lance harbor's knee before the LSU game. I just hope somebody walks into the room and and stops it before he does
