Realignment's effect on other sports?

Obviously schools like Oregon St are getting boned, but I wonder how it will affect their baseball success? Will UCLA and USC baseball continue to degrade considering the Big 10 doesn't seem to care about the sport? Arizona joining the Big 12 is a lateral move for baseball IMO.
Sorry its a slow work day and I'm missing college sports.

I don't know about impact, but I do wonder if travel costs for a conference like the Big 10 might force them to do things differently with scheduling.
Like maybe they schedule multiple lesser sports to all follow a similar schedule? Say all the winter OSU sports go to LA to play USC/UCLA on the same weekend. Save money on travel by having womens basketball, swimming, indoor tennis and indoor T&F all go on the same plane at the same time and build schedules around that sort of thing.
As for as how it impacts how good the other sports are, I generally think that programs who care about a sport can keep it going despite being in a conference that doesn't care through OOC scheduling work.

The travel issue might not be an issue for bigger schools, but I assume it will hurt schools in the AAC due to their large, random footprint.

Football needs to be completely separate from the other sports. The football teams fly to games.

If enough Pac-12 teams migrate to the Big Ten, I'd imagine they'd create a division for west coast teams to minimize traveling long distances for second-tier sports.

So why not just keep the individual regional conferences?!?!?!?!?!?!
