Im about to get downvoted to hell, but personally, for me I’d rather go to Clemson. It’s more my fit, and I have an Aunt who is a professor there. I like that area of SC, I like the lake, and I really hate the fact that all of USC’s sports stadiums are off campus. The only thing that would make it a tough decision for me is the fact that I’ve had an awesome roomate who went to school at South Carolina, and USC is in a more fun conference.

Well then don't argue for Greenville. Its going against your point that Clemson students don't wanna be in a city.

and using greenville for "being close to an actual city" is not a great talking point

I'm just pointing out Greenville is 45 minutes away and much cooler than Columbia.

I grew up in South Carolina and attended USC. Clemson has some good programs but is not as cool as USC. Clemson also has more sidewalk fans.

why would Starkville be more known than Clemson.

Who said it is?

But when I say MISSISSIPPI State, then most people know I went to school in Mississippi

lol none of that is true.

just the fact Columbia's arena has Gamecock logo on it means it is going to have more sidewalk fans.

We’re just pointing out that most of your reasons for clemson being great have to do with leaving clemson

It absolutely is. The fact that it has rustled you is indicative of its validity.

or just college kids go home some to see their parents and friends from high school.

i'm pretty sure many SC students go home on weekends on occasion. many of them still live at home. lol

I'm sure sports fans know this. I bet most non-sports fans don't have clue where Clemson is located. Nothing personal

So even people who went to college?

you may be right but it sounds like speculation.

I wouldn't think it would be a lower percentage of people that know UNC is in Chapel Hill or UVA is in C'ville or UGA is Athens.

Sure. Nationwide, not even worldwide. Get out of the SE and I don't think the majority of people know where Clemson is located

that probably goes for other colleges too including Uni of SC.

there are a lot of people not familiar with Columbia. lol

But given the number of out of state students Clemson gets, I would say it is well known on the east coast.
