quote:

Overrated: No. 6 Texas A&M
Look, I get it. Texas A&M was in the College Football Playoff mix all the way up to the final release of the rankings last winter. That has given Aggie fans around the country a false sense of hope that this is the year they break through the glass ceiling and make the CFP. That isn't going to happen.

quote:

Underrated: No. 13 LSU
Can we stop with the narrative that LSU is a hot mess destined for a disaster in 2021? That simply won't be the case.

quote:

Underrated: No. 5 Georgia
Georgia hasn't been able to break through that glass ceiling under Kirby Smart, but that should change this year as the Bulldogs are loaded from top to bottom.

Barrett's takes get worse and worse IMO.

UGA is properly ranked, and it's absurd hair splitting to say otherwise. Predicting a #5ish team over the last several years to finish #5 is underrating them despite some question marks? Come on.

A&M is probably overrated because they're A&M, but that's message board stuff. On paper they're a top 10 team until they inevitably show otherwise.

LSU at 13 is not predicting disaster. It's a fairly generous ranking for a team with QB uncertainty and serious coaching/leadership questions that went 5-5 last year and got the shite kicked out of them 2-3 times.

Sallee is the biggest poon in the industry, no question. It's obvious some good ag is giving the pole to his wife.
That notwithstanding, he has always had a hard on for A&M. Frick him.

I agree.

Was expecting them to be like #17.
