Ole Miss has never finished #1 in any major poll. The fact that they claim 3 titles means shite. I claim national titles in 1975, 1993, and 2000 myself.

Because it doesn't matter. And my stance is we have a legit claim to 4 not 6. Either way it doesn't matter.

Legit claim to 5 not 6. Although I'm now gonna start claiming 1939, because frick em, that's why.
We got 7 now, I'm taking 1967 back too.

Technically, so are Top 2 finishes and (especially) AA's. You still make your point with wins and conf titles but for your argument's sake...

Yes, UF has a winning series record over 2 of the 3 and a 10 game win streak over 1 of them.

True, but how many posters are old enough to remember before 1991? Heck a lot of posters weren't even born then.

Despite a large gap between Alabama and other contenders for the top spot, had this thread been made in 2006 there would have been those severely questioning Alabama as #1.
For those same reasons, I can't have Tennessee below #2 for an all-time ranking. But LSU and Georgia are arguably closing fast. Florida was making up serious ground.

LSU’s football history is pretty darned impressive, and probably is underrated nationally compared to teams like Florida, Auburn and Georgia.

This is correct.
LSU could pass Tennessee in the next 10-15 years if they go like the last 10-15 years did.
Florida, as well.
