Bama is tier 1 by themselves.

Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee are tier 2 by themselves.

This will piss off Florida fans, but they didn't win anything in this conference for 60 years until Spurrier came along.

This is just my opinion, of course.

Arkansas football was good from the 60s to the 80s. Then Ken Hatfield left and has been garbage since. No stability at all from that point on with no understandable expectations of what they really want.
Yea, that trade y'all made with Clumpson (Hatfield for O'Danny) turned out bad for both parties. Fwiw, Danny Ford was one hell of a coach, but I think "the bottle let him down," so to speak.

But he did come along. Then (gag) Meyer came along. You can't ignore that UF had an impressive period of dominance.

Tier 1-Bammer (got to give them the credit they deserve)

Tier 2-UGA, Tenner, LSU

Tier 3-UF & The Barn

Crap shoot after that from #7-16

Now when Okie and Tejas are officially in, they will slide into tier 2 based off their accomplishments in CFB as a whole since they started their programs...

OU’s history is inferior to no one but Bama and superior to every other program in this conference. Referring to it as “inferior” is a stretch too. I’m pretty sure OU is the winningest program since 1950. They have 7 legitimate national titles, 6 of which are undisputed, and 7 Heisman winners.

No doubt. And they have more recognized poll-era national titles than UGA and Tenner, and are only one behind LSU. I just think they have a little catching up to do in terms of overall winning, and if we are ranking these teams in terms of SEC dominance, they are well behind those teams in SEC titles, as well.

Seriously...you need to sit this one out. It's embarrassing that you have to be told.

Tier 1 Bama Tier 2 ( no order) UGA LSU Florida Tier 3 Auburn Tennessee Edit-- Georgia was in Tier 3 until the last couple of years. Auburn is close to slipping a notch. Maybe they have. Tennessee could move to Tier 2 with some work.

HISTORICALLY: in accordance with or with respect to history. an historically accurate account. : in the past.

Ergo your list is outside the parameters of the topic.

Your tier 2 has little to no historical relevance.

This post should be the measuring stick based on the original post. Period

Tier 1: Alabama
Tier 2: more than 10 conference titles
Tier 3: 5-9 conference titles
Tier 4: 1-4 conference titles or an appearance in the championship game
Tier 5: Cellar. No appearances in the conference title game.

Okie has a damn good history and the Rant are selling them short because they are going through a rough patch right now. I suspect they will be amongst the top teams once they get established in the SEC.

No way. Aggie just won the super bowl

But a loss to App State trumps any win against LSU for at least 5 years.

If you just did post-segregation, Tennessee definitely wouldn't be in Tier 2. They've only had one good decade, one half assed one and three embarrassing ones.

Hatfield won an ACC title with Clumpson, they had a long drought before Dabo. He won a SWC title with Rice of all places. He was also national coach of the year at Air Force. He still holds the highest winning percentage among Arkansas head coaches.

Ford was a terrible hire who hauled arse out of the back door before the the NCAA began knocking. Frank Broyles didn't allow him to cheat like he did in Clumpson. He was out of his element and just wanted to pick up his check. He also made a comment that it doesn't take a scientific rocket which made him look like a retard.

Tier 1
BAMA most NC’s
LSU - 2nd most NC appearances and NC Titles

Tier 2
Florida
Georgia
Auburn
Tennessee
If you don’t have an NC over the past 50 years then it don’t matter you are irrelevant.
