Buzz is the best one without a doubt

3 guys with ups and downs in their first 1-2 years after that.

And then Crean and Stackhouse.

By the end of this season, it's likely that Davis will be the only coach on this list with an NCAA Tournament appearance in the past two seasons. We have also been recruiting much better than we ever have. This has been a rough season but we also have 7 freshman on the roster and have lost multiple games to good teams (LSU, Kentucky, Auburn, etc.) by single digits.

1. Muss - the guy is doing wonderful things with some of the least talent on the roster in the league. When he gets tall athletic players - watch out. If he had Bama’s roster, he would be in the tourney.
2. BUZZ - impressive results. Team getting better during the year.
3. Davis - up and down
4. Crean - got the best player but can’t figure out an offensive identity.

Jury still out:
Stackhouse - Vandy is a total rebuild job and not fair to judge now. Look at Pearl’s 1st year and Saban’s 1st year.

Oats - same Bama results as always. Talented - Bubble team late in year.

Buzz is number 1 for what he has done since conference play and in other years as a head coach.

The group of Davis, Musselman, and Oats can all be ordered differently with solid reasoning.

Crean and Stackhouse are bottom two as or right now.

Crean has been underwhelming but the jury’s still out.

Georgia is a total rebuild. 10/14 players on the team are newcomers.

Wins vs. Georiga (not a tourney team), vs. Mississippi State (maybe a tournament team) and @ Alabama (probably not a tournament team) constitutes getting better?

Keep in mind this Texas A&M team has also lost to Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina by a combined 52 points in the month of February.

I'll give you that. I still wouldn't put Buzz above Kermit given Kermit's resume from MTSU and the fact that he took a 12-20 Rebel team from 2017 (which finished last in the SEC) and made them into 20-13 team that made the NCAA Tournament the very next year. Ups and downs for sure, but he's produced the most out of each of the coaches listed in the past two years.

Good luck to y'all the rest of the way. Kermit vs. Buzz should be fun for the next few years

Hard to compare 1 year guys to 2 year guys.

Kermit won COY last year, and this year kind of sucked by comparison. Would like to see at least 2 seasons out of the new guys before really judging.

Crean and Stackhouse are at the bottom though

Kermit did a very good job at MTSU but I'd still take what Buzz has even though Buzz has been at much better basketball schools.

So far yes but that is part of the problem, we have to make some projections because Kermit has been at his current school for two years vs some others that have only been at their school one year.

I appreciate it but I'm not an A&M fan

I will say since I have stackhouse down at bottom with Crean you feel worse for Stackhouse because he obviously came into a rebuild job and lost by far his best player shortly into the season. Still, it's not a great excuse for all the close games he's not won this year and some of the leads he's blown. Gotta win more than 1 SEC game.

Crean just kind of sucks, he finally gets a top NBA talent to UGA and has pretty much squandered it. Now watch him go 4-0 the rest of the way
