Washington State is now open after the HC was fired for not taking the shot.

LSU doesn’t have Florida St and Miami to compete with in state.

Louisiana and both bordering states (Texas and Mississippi l) are a recruiting hot bed. You can win a title just recruiting kids in a 300 mile radius of Baton Rouge

Which school has won a NC with its last three consecutive coaches despite two having IQs under 100 ? I will hang up and listen.

Anyone who picks a school other than LSU is an idiot for this reason.

It probably depends on your perspective, but…

1. Florida - Money, Talent, Resources, Support

2. LSU - Talent, Resources, Support - A lot of recent stories make me question their financial situation, but the AD is comfortable enough to fire O with a $19M buyout, so it can’t be that bad.

3. USC - Money, Talent, Resources - Fan support in LA is always going to be marginal for a college team.

4. Nebraska - Money, Resources, Support - Still puts a lot of money and effort into football, but they can’t pull the players needed to get them back to a relevant level of competitiveness.

5. Miami - Talent, maybe? - The U still pulls some decent players, but they’re in Florida, so that’s almost a given. No fan support, no administrative support or resources, no financial support. Just a bad spot to land.

Fan support isn’t great. Always an empty stadium and they don’t travel well. Facilties are deficient

Not sure where the empty stadium talk is coming from, but UF consistently ranks near the top in booster contributions and in a matter of months football will have a new $90 million training center at their disposal.

Does a coach honestly have time to build a program in Baton Rouge? You've got to weigh that. You have to be able to recruit your own players, and instill your program and sometimes that takes a few seasons. That's realistic. If you took a great coach today and placed them in Baton Rouge, do they have time to do that? If the answer is no, they can't have a couple 2-3 loss seasons without getting fired, that's not a better job than USC.

USC seems to be preferred over LSU. No idea about Florida. Rest don’t really matter

Florida
LSU
USC (I'd normally put USC up there but their admin doesn't give a shite)
Miami (shitty admin too)
Nebraska

this is the correct answer

USC is at the top if their admin commits to supporting football.

Florida by a good margin

Then probably LSU for most coaches. I could see USC having an appeal for certain coaches in love with the idea of taking a premier school back to glory.

IMO, you've got them in the right order...

1. USC -- 11 national titles
2. LSU - 4 national titles
3. Florida - 3 national titles
4. Nebraska - 5 national titles (would be #2 10 years ago)
5. Miami - 5 national titles

LSU is in same division with Bama, no way that appeals to top tier HC.
