You're putting a hell of a lot of stock in what 247 says.

247 is generally regarded as a pretty reliable source by most on this site.

If you can provide information that debunks their claims then I'd be willing to take a look at it.

Well I'll be damned I think you cracked it: If not for great coaches coaching great players, you don't win as much.

Bama will go mostly back to its usual regional recruiting like before Saban.

Somehow, this seems like a response thread.

his eventual replacement

Depends on his replacement. When he leaves the players and infrastructure will be there. The money is there and their is really good instate talent. Tuscaloosa is not far from the rest of the south east and they’re definitely a national brand.

Not sure why everyone always lists Alabama right at the top of these lists

Come on. They have the greatest history of any college program in the country.

You may not like them... I don’t like them... but it is the best job in the SEC.

LSU is probably 2, but UGA and UF have legit arguments

What makes it the best job?

History doesn't make it any better of a job than anywhere else.

If we’re being honest, UGA or UF should be the best jobs in the SEC.

Should be the best doesn’t make them the best.

What makes Alabama a better job than any of the teams I listed

Well one reason is Bama doesn’t have a compliance department hell bent on Sabotaging the program.

Hell I wouldn’t coach at LSU until the revamped the compliance dept.

They seemed to be pretty lenient with Tyrann Mathieu

Yes...why do you think you see the same fricking programs when year after year CFP. It's a reason there is a Big 6 in SEC, Clemson is newbie but other programs would sale their soul for what they have built. Why tOSU stays great. Oklahoma doesn't have the best recruiting in state but remain a Top 10/5 year after year. It's a brand!

In College football history does matter whether you like it or not.

Speaking on Florida they compete for resources against FSU and Miami also a bevy of G5 in state. Georgia has Clemson a Sunday drive away, Bama to the West, Auburn just across state line. Southern Georgia is Florida State/Florida territory. Southern Alabama 1/3rds LSU/Auburn/Bama. Northern Louisiana is heavy Bama. South Mississippi is LSU/Bama territory.
