I thought it was already covered by this board that Auburn was not a better job than A&M? The evidence is pretty much closed on this debate.

Not sure why everyone always lists Alabama right at the top of these lists.

They have really no inherent geographical advantages over any other SEC school and they have an in state SEC rival. History doesn't really matter to recruits.

Looks about right. A&M looks too high though, they don’t play for league championships or NC’s.

I mean that works under Saban, not so much if he isn't there.

It’s true that recruits don’t care about who won the most Championships in the 90’s, but if you think recruits don’t care about what happens in the last 5-10 years, you’re dumb.

Alabama has been dominant the last 12 years. You really think that doesn’t matter?

I always laugh when LSU fans say, “Why would any recruit go to Georgia? They haven’t won a championship since 1980!”

They seriously don’t give a shite. Georgia has been really good the last 5 years, which is what they do care about.

Imagine inheriting a team with more 5 star recruits on the 3rd string than most schools have on their entire roster.

With the best bag men in the business.

With an admin. that would burn down every academic program and overlook any crime perpetrated by a player to win at football.

LSU is close here but you gotta give Bama the edge.

LSU is like Bama's bumbling sidekick.

Bingo. Win 8 or 9 games here and get several million to do it and you are gold.

Consistently only winning 5 or 6 will get you canned, 7 is the expectation with 8 and 9 being awesome. Stoops has been meeting that.

Eventually people will want more. But we have a long way to go before we can demand consistent 9 and 10 win seasons. South Carolina fans thought and still think they can. They aren't realistic about who they are. Kentucky fans are. We should make a bowl game every year. How games are won and lost individually beyond that is what dictates fan ire and expectations.

That looks a whole lot different when you're going to play at Alabama for the guy who did all that vs his eventual replacement.

Also, they're ready to fire you if you don't win a title in three years.

Really not seeing how Bama is the best job in the SEC if you look at the big picture.

Bama, UGA, and Florida...(1a,b,c).. with their in-state talent and resources, the right coach could make Florida and Georgia perennial powerhouses... I shutter to think what beasts could have been created if Saban had gone to UGA or Florida..
