Wow, just wow.... What a precedent!!! How does he expect to start over CJ Stroud and Kyle McCord though... I'm sure it is all about the NIL money though, although he says it isn't.

Well he goes to Newman High School, which means at the end of his junior year this year, he will without a doubt be able to pass the GED test in Louisiana.

So yeah that might happen

This is the type of shite nobody thought about. And you know damn well we’re gonna slowly uncover more negative crap about NIL as we move forward.

I’m looking forward to this market eventually correcting itself.

This. Someone is going to pay a Jeremy Johnson or Garrett Gilbert too much and sink their company. Water always finds its level

Unlike the old system where boosters just tanked children's hospitals instead

The money we're seeing today is primarily the money that was always there. Boosters just get to legally use their advertising budgets instead.

He can't get NIL deals because of the state law in Texas. I won't pretend to know anything about Texas statutes or NIL really.

But since we always look for developing trends, does anyone know if there are similar laws in other SEC states prohibiting high school kids from NIL deals?

Ohio State's quarterback room right now is a ticking time bomb. 4 guys a combined 19 stars. 0 career throws. Don't see how Ryan Day keeps even 3 of these guys. Get ready for some serious talent back on the market.

Is a high school kid even eligible to play college ball ? I presume he graduated early? Physically there is no way he can compete, so he red shirts & starts receiving his NIL money a year early. That slippery slope has just gotten slippery. What will the NIL money be leading to in 1-2 yrs?

None of are from the Midwest or Ohio either. Cali, Arizona, Texas, etc.

At least you guys still don't have Tathan Martell wasting a seat.

17 yr old kids foregoing senior seasons to try to compete with grown men is not a recipe for success. It’s not just the physical maturity either mental maturity is a huge deal for kids leaving hime for the first time mostly unsupervised in a world where there’s more than enough distractions and trouble to get into on any college campus.
