I don’t even understand why Bianco to LSU is even a rumor. He’s old as frick and hasn’t won shite at Ole Miss.

not to mention he has it made in Oxford. He built the program up, and gets everything he wants/needs to succeed. We can give him exactly what LSU can give him, except at LSU he’d be fired for not getting over the hump whereas here it’s just sort of “too good to fire, not good enough to get where we want”

Hire a former MSU assistant. Most have done very well. Hell, Lane Burroughs at La Tech is a former MSU guy and he is winning at Tech.

I bet you could get him easy.

Gautreau just turned down the job at Rice this week. He's not going anywhere.

It would be interesting to see how the scholarship roadblocks would affect the program post Bianco. It could be that if we aren't able to get the coach we want, we might end up worse than we are now. I've always had the feeling that the losing in big games is more of an Ole Miss thing instead of a Bianco thing. We have a history of choking in the 3 big sports, and it is magnified in baseball more because Bianco gets closer to succeeding more.

I just don't really believe that Bianco does anything differently during postseason to make the team play tight, so I feel like if we go after another coach there needs to be something specifically different that another coach would be better at. If he's doing something specific that is making the team play tight that we're not seeing, that would be a problem but I'm not seeing it.

Since you asked, no, you don’t fire Bianco. In fact, give him a lifetime contract.

Worst take in the history of bad takes. That's how you get a real curse on your program. Dave Van Horn isnt cursed, its hard to win a championship. TV hasn't even sniffed Omaha yet. DVH already had Arkansas in Omaha his 2nd year. This is TV's 4th.

Oh yeah, we've only been #1 all season, won the SEC regular and tournament championships. GTFO here with that bullshite.

There is a pretty large gap between Rice and the average SEC program. If Ole Miss or Florida open up, he'd be dumb not to leave. TCU could open up and reach out too. Now, I have no idea if he'd be a candidate for any of them.

TCU is going to promote Sarloos. It was supposed to happen a couple of years ago when Schlossnagle turned down MSU. I think the timing is right on Schlossnagle because of things in his personal life

He will be elsewhere next year, and Sarloos will be the HC at TCU

Not a chance. He's made Ole Miss baseball what it is. Not that it's great, but it's a far sight from what it was before he arrived. If you do, it will be like when State fired Rick Stansbury. Remember how State fans used to complain about early tournament exits, getting low seeds in the NCAAT, etc.? Yeah, look at them now. lol That will be you guys.

As for the Ole Miss fans thinking LSU will hire him. Unlike OM, LSU can (and will) actually do better. I know this pains you to hear it, but you're not equals with LSU. Haven't been since integration.

So? It may not too.
Vandy lost to Duke in Supers 2019.
Florida lost to Bethune Cookman in regionals and Wake Forest in Supers when they won it all in 2017.

You don’t go undefeated in baseball. The odds are in our favor tonight. At home, one less game, bats have been bad all weekend.
