What are your thoughts about double headers in baseball? HS, college, mlb... As a player I honestly hated them...

Didn't mind them depending on the situation. Were worse in college I think.
The craziest ones were the kid tournaments when you'd play 3 games on a Saturday.

It does get really silly for the little kids. Went to see my little cousin play last weekend and they had three games with the last one finishing a little after 11. He is 9 years old.

Hated them. We always played like crap in the second game.

In the middle of summer it can be exhausting. My sis n I grew up playing travel ball so we got use to it.

as a player and coach I never like them much. I had other interests also and double headers are like an all day affair.

Hated them in summer ball but liked them in high school

I liked them. We typically rolled out two totally different lineups for them so you got to see kids who normally didn't play a ton.

Hated them. Second game seemed to drag on forever.

I don't mind them on a limited basis. But when there are a few each week it really is tough on the team especially in high school.
My son's HS team had 7 games last week. 1 Monday, 2dlbh Tuesday, 1thurs, 2dblh Friday and 1 Sat.
It was really tough on pitching, he is the Ace for the team. He had a no-hitter through four Innings Tuesday got pulled in the fourth so he could pitch again on Friday. They ended up losing the game on Tuesday. His team has been terrible this year. He has pitched in 12 games all but two he pitched well enough that they should have won easily. I'm talking about holding the opposing team to 2 hit 1 earned run and still losing the games. He's thrown three complete games that they've lost. Held the other team to less than three hits in each game and less than 2er lost, 4-6, 0-3, 2-5. It is really frustrating to see routine plays get f***** up. It is really hurting his chances to go to a better school to play. He will go to some showcases this summer and play on a travel team out of Birmingham more than likely. He played on one last summer and it was awesome.

Just depended on the weather. In the summer I really didn't like double headers but in spring and such I really didn't mind a double header

Hated them in high school because I caught the first game and had to pitch the second game. That was a bit much. Juco double headers were much more fun. Nothing better than spending an entire day at the field.
