Are Aggie fans happy that UAB passed on Jimbo back in 07, thus allowing him to be available for y'all last year?

Sorry, but the SEC doesn’t count that way. Fans may, but that is opinion, not fact.

The SEC doesn't give a shite about 2nd place is the only reason why.

If they did, then they would use the same method as 1st place.

And since the discussion is towards that, then it should be applied as well.

You lost and can't deal with it is all I see.

Jesus H Christ

LSU fans are delusional as hell...it’s pretty incredible tbh.

The Cookie Monster is an ok dude but he will fail again as the head corndog. He will never beat Nick nor Jimbo.

Are y'all happy you passed on Jimbo and hired Orgeron?

A few points:
Ignoring the troll, it wasn't that simple. LSU didn't move on Jimbo when they could get him; when they let Miles go he wasn't available. They tried for Herman (don't know how seriously), and then took a flyer on Orgeron.

Now, in the bigger picture, that might be the wiser move. Barring something really unexpected, the SEC belongs to Alabama, and will remain that way until Saban retires. You can rag Miles and Richt all you want, but Urban Meyer is/was a great coach, and Florida has all the resources you could ask for. Urban + Fla beats Jimbo + A&M.
And Urban couldn't keep up with Saban + Bama.

So, it may be a waiting game for the rest of the SEC. Gotta keep a program, and keep it relevant, but don't go over budget when you're playing for 2nd place.
Orgeron is a shite-ton cheaper than Jimbo, and he's kept LSU relevant.

Perhaps when Saban leaves, LSU will view the SEC as open again, and will pay top dollar. By that point, A&M will have been spending top dollar for Jimbo awhile, and very likely not get any results... and Jimbo might be burning that bridge by then.

I'd rather have Jimbo. Just being honest, does any other ad hire orgeron?

Thing with orgeron is that you know his players play hard for him and he recruits well, if you have good coordinators, then what's wrong with going that direction.

But Jimbo is a great football mind and I think that's a good way to go as well. IDK, I like them both .
