If I'm not mistaken, there was an origin to that part of the story that is one of those quasi-sports news sites.
And if she finds the origin and does sue, if she proves that she was slandered, she does not have to prove damages. The court assumes there were damages in slander cases related to allegations of sexual misconduct.
