Correct, you got beat at home by A&M.

As I said, you are a bit too much of a homer to have much of a conversation with. You would just get upset with me, and probably I would get frustrated with you.

True of most of my conversations with Uga fans.

But we have a better coach this year. How about you?

But that's okay. I mean, we are bitter rivals. it's very difficult to see eye to eye on things!

But blue is just a better color than red! no argument there, and orange is the new black.

Based on what we've seen out of him so far, looks like a yes. Should be a fun matchup.

Mullen left because our AD told him he wasn’t worth $6M. Cohen was tired of his yearly shenanigans and told Mullen to go where they would pay him that.

This sort of adorable, salt-of-the-earth bullshite that MSU fans have been pushing all offseason have been the best part about all of this.

I would think if there was ONE SEC program that could have some humility and know what sort of program it is that program would be MSU. But here there fans are, refusing to believe that UF is a better program.

Its great.

They won't even admit that Mullen left them in a better place than when he was first hired.

Your response was great until this, how about we don’t confuse being realistic and negative.

Negative would be like critiquing a coach before he even coached one game and blaming him for ten years of mediocrity.

Realistic would be criticizing a coach after he coached a season and had a real recruiting class under his belt.

Other teams love to hear negative takes, so you get a good dose of dunning-kruger without realizing that you're being very premature.

This isn’t a coach coming from the Group of 5, this is a man who has coached in the SEC for 9 years Straws. He has given us plenty of evidence as to what he is. At this point it’s on him to prove he’s more than a good coach at a small program. Not the other way around, he doesn’t get the same pass a first year coach gets. He was paid 6 million dollars, patience left about 2 million dollars ago. When you ask that price you have to produce, it is what it is. Has he produced yet? I didn’t think so, he hasn’t even felt the heat yet, let him go 7-5 and see what happens.

that would indicate they have the better program and players, but MState returns a lot of starters from last years team.

Ahhhh just so you know...UF returns 10 starters on offense and seven on defense...and that doesn't count any punter or kicker. Defense really has 8 starters back with CJ Henderson.

UF may be a lot tougher than most realize...just saying.

He was yall’s 3rd/4th choice, so don’t you owe him slack just for that?

How did they do last year? Sometimes returning players isn't a good thing.

State is returning more players off a team that won 9 games - and have an upgraded coaching staff. Offensive and defensive lines, both in the top fourth of the league last year, return completely intact. Hardly comparable.

On to the Mullen thing...yes, I supported Mullen when he was at State....and I bought it hook, line, and sinker, when he met with the team before the Arkansas game and reaffirmed his commitment to them and told them he wasn't going anywhere. He turned out to be a liar and a fraud, and State fans are justified in hating the guy for how he handled things. Most State fans appreciate what Mullen did for the program, but let's not misunderstand this: many of us were fed up with the poor clock management, predictable playcalling, defensive coordinator turnover, piss-poor recruiting, and failure to squash job rumors every year. Now that we have the benefit of hindsight, I see a motivated group of players and a coaching staff that gets it - from fan relations to recruiting. I also see a Florida program devoid of talent (despite what this idiot UF Matt says) and a coaching staff getting their asses thoroughly kicked on the recruiting trail.

Not only will state be better this year, but they will be better over the next three years that Mullen is at Florida before getting shitcanned. Go ahead and bookmark it.

That's fricking absurd, man. You think because of how much we're paying him he's going to/is obligated to fix a ten year problem in less than 10 months?

That's pure stupidity. Every single person has acknowledged that this is a few years in the making to get us in the right direction, thinking he's going to magically wave his wand and we're going to have top 5 classes is just completely outside of reality.

It's amazing how the narrative changes. When Mullen was hired, the narrative was that he didn't need to be a great recruiter because Florida recruited itself. Now this is a few years in the making. The goalposts keep getting moved....but you're rapidly running out of room.

Mullens tenure has been a disappointment so far. I expect 6-7 wins. His recruiting has been worse than macs for a 2nd class.

I feel like you guys need to have a real definition of Moving the Goalposts. Mullen can have immediate success, and Florida does recruit itself.

Makes sense since on a transition year with 4 wins he beat every single recruiting class he ever had at MSST.

Thems the breaks, our school is better than yours. Sorry.

He can have immediate results -- on the field. Off the field, recruiting wise, to think he's going to come in and outrecruit Saban, Meyer, Dabo etc. etc. in his first year at a program that's been less than stellar the last decade is just retarded.

You're such a big, sopping wet pussy. Ban bet x2. We have a better class than 17 - 19 and we win more than 7 games. Take it.
