Good on you for being a good sport. I know how much last night must have hurt, but you are handling it well.

I just find it funny that LSU fans would start 5,000 threads on this topic if they lost.

But since they won, it’s “he would’ve made it from anywhere” “because that’s where the ref put it deal with it” “why does it matter pussy?”

thanks, I was going to post here, because I can't get a real answer.
rooting for a team that typically needs all the help in the kicking department it can get, I always feel the wide college hash marks make it much more difficult for college kickers compared to NFL kickers.

You posted an excellent, thought provoking question.
I've gotten accustomed to seeing the pathetic replies from the many envious, butt hurt LSU fans around here, but I admit that I still catch myself just shaking my head in astonishment.

Gonna question the hold on their second TD? Nah I didn’t think so.

Seriously this shite is pathetic. Nobody is saying it was cheating. We're wondering what the rule is that allows it.

I also noticed it and thought it was odd. Since nobody can give an answer I suspect they screwed it up.

I believe a coach can ask for the ball to be placed in whichever spot he wants coming out of a timeout.

Not positive, but I believe thats the case.

That was what I figured was the most likely rule. And if so, that means Mullen gave them that option via his timeout, right?

It's funny that we want to know the rules? Nobody is saying the refs got it wrong. But it is nice to know what the rules are.

Wouldn’t the ball get moved a lot when icing the kicker if that were the rule?

That wasn't targeting. That's why.

How was it a defenseless player?
I was pulling big time for LSU, so don't try to swat that way, but the announcers are dumb. Was it helmet to helmet? yes. But a lineman is not a defenseless player r there would be targeting called on every snap of the game.

Then why do you see teams take a snap then take a knee at the center of the field and losing a couple of yards, then take a time out? Why not just immediately take a knee, then request a new ball placement?
