Dude, Sun was being a goof. He wasn't serious.

This entire board needs a cup of coffee. And maybe a Xanax.

Then why do you see teams take a snap then take a knee at the center of the field and losing a couple of yards, then take a time out? Why not just immediately take a knee, then request a new ball placement?

Thats usually more of an NFL thing IIRC. Perhaps they don't have the same rule.

I dont know, I could be mistaken but I seem to remember that being the case for some reason.

No worries friends I just popped a Xanax and drank some mimosas so I’m basically invincible

That was what I figured was the most likely rule. And if so, that means Mullen gave them that option via his timeout, right?

I would assume so if that is the rule.

I've dabbled in kicking somewhat and it seems to me that kicking from the left hash would be the easiest option for a try that long but I guess people are different.

In the famous Alabama Auburn game from 2013, Alabama lined up to kick the ill fated FG attempt from the left hash, even after a time out.
Not that it would have helped our kickers.
