Does timeout adjust the ball placement?

It's actually a good question. Nonetheless, it's a troll question, especially under these conditions. Get over it. Reason is, the guy drilled a 57 yard field goal....in a fog...game on the line...minus a boatload of impact players.....add covid bs if you want....but let's question the hash spot by three yards???? 57 yards...why not give a guy some credit regardless of a hash spot???? Seriously.

It most certainly is not a troll question, I was actually rooting for the guy to make it.
Its an honest question.
LSU 2 plays prior had the ball around the middle of the field, and I thought it was detrimental to ran that pass out to the sidelines, because I thought that would place the ball on the left hash.
I immediately noticed that it wasn't placed there and I just got to wondering about the rules.
If you're offended that I'm posing a question, I can't help you.

Good point, seems like official error

Are placement rules the same as NFL? I think they can spot it within 2 yards of the hash.

It's a great football rule question, As a former official I won't do your homework for you. The rules speak for themselves and they got it correct.
Your dialogue also speaks for itself. It is what is. You're trying to call out coaching/play calling and bringing it into question. And/or the officiating. Either way, you have a biased agenda. Otherwise, you wouldn't even be asking the question.
And, yes, I am offended because I think it's incredible that this guy nailed a 57 yard field goal.

I have no idea, but that was one hell of a kick.

Isn’t it because Florida called a timeout with under 2 mins left so the ball gets placed in the middle.

Exactly right!

We need to overhaul this site. Holy shite.
In what world was this a troll question? No one in this thread is trying to diminish what Cade did. It was an amazing kick with all the pressure in the world. That doesn’t mean the placement of the ball is any less intriguing.
Instead of getting defensive over a legitimate question, why don’t you educate us on how that was the correct placement? I’d love to learn more about this game.

How then was LSU able to spot the ball so far away from the left hash marks?
Because that’s where the cleat landed?

thanks, I was going to post here, because I can't get a real answer.
rooting for a team that typically needs all the help in the kicking department it can get, I always feel the wide college hash marks make it much more difficult for college kickers compared to NFL kickers.

Yea I'm legitimately curious, mainly because I'm pretty sure it was correct I'd just like to know why.

Come on, man, Don't be a jerk. Plenty of people (Including several LSU fans) have acknowledged they were wondering the same thing. If they got it right, then why be testy? Share the information you claim to know.
I was pulling hard for LSU last night and I am wondering, too.
