Nebraska got the Nebraska benefit in the preseason. They weren't that good last year, they aren't that good this year.

Honestly Ohio State could have beaten them by far more. They took their foot of the gas fairly early.

Nebraska, right now, is a medium tier (at best) SEC team. Meaning that Arkansas could take them to the wire or Auburn could lay the lumber to them.

Now, that having been said, Ohio State might be the real deal. But we won't know until they play Wisconsin. Michigan is a paper tiger.

LSU gave up more points to Vandy than OSU has given up all year.

I doubt they would trade Fields for Burrow if you asked them.

The dust will settle soon enough. If we play the way I think we will, we’ll be a top 3 team in November.

The new Coaches' Poll has OSU with 4 first place votes and at #4; this caused LSU to drop to #5. If this had been a Clemson scenario where LSU struggled to put away a clearly inferior opponent, then I could see it, but LSU was chilling in their dorm rooms this weekend or out partying. So clearly it isn't on what LSU DIDN'T do, but rather what Ohio State DID. So what did Ohio State do? After beating Nebraska 49-7, which sounds impressive, but this isn't your dad's Nebraska. Until yesterday, Nebraska was 3-1. That included: A close loss to Colorado (who lost the following week to Air Force) A 14-point win over South Alabama (who scored more against Nebraska than they did vs Memphis and UAB combined) Throttling a 1-3 Northern Illinois team (who gave Vandy their first win of the season this weekend) A come-from-behind win over Illinois (2-2, with the other loss to EMU). Man, I am nowhere near an LSU fan, but the coaches have to explain THAT line of logic. Pretty sure LSU could easily beat Nebraska by 42 as well.

Nebraska is back! That is what the so call experts are saying! They maybe saying Nebraska is a good football team because of Scott Frost is the head coach. OSU deserve the jump and the spot over LSU. This is not a big deal right now!
I hate Nebraska! They have a long way to turn this team around to compete in the Mighty B10.

Agreed. I believe Ohio State has a superior Defense to ours and their offense is very comparable from what I've seen, maybe better.

OSU looked really good in all phases against Nebraska at their house. LSU didn’t play so yea OSU should’ve moved up and Alabama should move up as Clemson didn’t look like the number 1 team against NC and should drop out of top 5. Alabama OSU Oklahoma Georgia Auburn all looked better than Clemson. IMO

Ohio State is impressive on both sides of the ball. Nebraska is not a big challenge, but they beat their arse on their home field.

I could care less about rankings at this point. Any team that plays in the SEC, Big 10, Big XII, and ACC and stays undefeated gets an automatic bid to the playoffs except if ND is also undefeated. The point is just win. Also, I hate that if you drop a game early you have a better chance to bounce back. That thinking is BS.

TL;DR version. Just win baby and the rankings take care of themselves.

Nebraska hasn’t been any good ever since Frank Solich ran out of Tom Osborne recruits.

I have no idea why people take beating Nebraska seriously anymore.

Honestly, Scott Frost has been a disappointing dud so far.

Ohio State is ranked top 5 in both scoring offense and scoring defense. Name another team in the country that is as good as them on both sides of the ball.

Stat wise, both sides considered, UGA and Wisconsin are next closest

Appreciate the vote of support. But our fate is in our hands. We have the offense we have always wanted. Defense? Not so much. We win out and we have nothing to worry about. Stumble to any of our SEC West foes (to include OM, MSST and A&M) or lose to UF and it is all a moot point. And that is only to get you to the SECCG.

Damn, playing in the SEC is absolute hell.

Not that I like quoting filthy scum, but in this case, it's appropriate: "What difference, at this point, does it make?!"
