Yea you’re really showing your age on this one. Richard Seymour, Geno Atkins and David Pollack destroy that line you listed
Those guys were great, but Jalen Carter is the most talented defensive lineman to ever play at Georgia.
A DL with Carter and Jordan Davis on it takes a backseat to no one in college.

It was a legit question with 0 animosity meant — maybe take a walk outside occasionally so you don’t think every post is just attacking you lmao

If you are choosing Pollack over Jarvis Jones or Travon Walker (#1 overall draft pick)
Pollock was a DE in a 4-3 scheme.
Jarvis Jones was an OLB in a 3-4.
Walker was a DE in a 3-4.
All 3 of these players played different positions in different schemes, Georgia “fan.”

And he was drafted #1 overall to play outside linebacker in the NFL who could also turn a 3-4 into a 4-3 by coming up to the tackle box.
Versatility.
That's why he's on my list and not David Pollack.

but Langham is without question one of the greatest defensive backs to ever play in the SEC.
Won us our first SEC Championship Game with a pick 6 when Florida had come back to tie it and had the ball again. Those were the last points scored in the game.

Doug Atkins has to be on that DL in place of Haynesworth or Barnett. Dude is a NFL legend & HOFer.
Majors was a safety. Terry MCDaniel might be a better CB option. Played for ‘85 Sugar Vols & about 10 yrs in NFL.

Travon Walker 65 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks , 1 int and 1 forced fumble.
David Pollack 283 tackles, 58.5 tackles for loss, 36 sacks, 4 int and 7 forced fumbles.
By college stats its David Pollock by a mile and its not even close.

Travon Walker only started in 15 games. Kinda sorta skews the stats.
Pollack started in 45 games.

If you divide their stats by the number of games played. Pollock still doubles him in most stats if not more for a couple of them. Travon played in 36 games and Pollock played in 52.

Atkins had a better overall career than Barnett or Haynesworth, but Barnett is our all-time sack leader in 3 seasons, so he is without a doubt on the list. Haynesworth formed the greatest interior D-Line duo in Tennessee football history with Henderson, so I'll stick with our two greatest edge rushers paired with our best D-tackle duo.

Majors was really just a DB, so he can flex play either position. If anything, take Deon Grant out and make Majors and Berry the Safety duo

From 1991 through 1993, watching Jay Barker, David Palmer, and Langham beat Tennessee was agony. We were the better teams with better coaching. But Majors and Fulmer were too busy fighting with each other to focus

You really don’t know much about Tennessee football. Haynesworth had maybe 5 sacks his entire career at Tennessee. The only time he was dominant was when he was in a contract yr with the Titans.
I was a huge BM fan but he definitely didn’t have speed to play CB. He & Tim Priest were safeties. Conrad Graham & David Allen were CBs.

Too many choices bruh.
So many Titleist have taken snaps in Tuscaloosa. Shove your “recency bias” up your arse sideways, sister.

Are you trying to be dense? I said Haynesworth was part of the best defensive duo in Tennessee history. Either way Atkins wasnt a tackle, he was an End. So he isnt even in competition for a Dline spot with Haynesworth. Perhaps you dont know Tennessee ball.
If you knew anything about Tennessee you would be arguing for Steve Delong instead of Atkins.
Majors is was listed as DB. That inherently means he can play both positions. I also said to sub Grant for Majors if you are so bothered by his placement.
Go to bed

Travon Walker might be the only DE we've ever had who could have made this play. This would have gone for a touchdown.

If tweet fails to load, click here. I think Walker's stats would have been absurd if he was put in a pure pass rush role. He is a freakish athlete.
I'll say this for Pollack. The Bengals did him a gross disservice by moving him to outside linebacker. Even if he hadn't hurt his neck, that was never going to work out. They should have let him put his hand in the dirt and go get the QB, which was always his best skill.
