I also don't understand a Tennessee-based company on Ole Miss.

FedEx has donated to Ole Miss before, so it's not far fetched.

I like ours. The all checkerboard one looks like Croatians jerseys.

Pepsi is in Bryan.

There's a Pepsi Bottling Co. in Bryan--just like there is in most towns.
Same with Coca-Cola Bottling (in Bryan).

A very odd choice for an A&M jersey--concept or not.

Most large companies make donations to many schools.
You'd think the artist would've stuck to home-grown companies, that's all.

Memphis may be in Tennessee but it's an Ole Miss city/market

From a business/taxes standpoint, it's a Tennessee company.
I'm certainly not arguing Memphis' proximity to Oxford, though.

Yeah, but they're more invested in Ole Miss than any university in Tennessee.

FedEx also invests a lot in University of Memphis, but I agree from an SEC standpoint.

Fred Smith has donated a ton of money to Ole Miss. FedEx also gave the money for this LINK /

FedEx is one of the biggest donators to Ole Miss athletics
LINK

although i'm not aware that any of Fred Smith's 10 children attended Ole Miss, nor did he (Yale), which makes it odd that Ole Miss receives the money they do from him. I know one of his sons was kicked out of UVA for nearly beating a kid to death. One of his daughters went to Duke and another went to NYU. Another son played QB at Memphis recently and another went to George Washington.

IIRC he was wanting to go to Ole Miss really bad but never got an offer. QB for Olive Branch I believe.

yeah something like that. think he walked on at memphis. also weird, none of his children to my knowledge attended his alma mater MUS for high school either, yet I believe his daughters went to St. Mary's, one of MUS' sister schools. I know at least one of them went to Christian Brothers, MUS' rival high school.

Where did Richard Smith go, CBHS?

yeah, may be right. I know the one who got kicked out of UVA did, not sure about Richard. I'm not sure if there is bad blood bt Fred Smith and MUS because he's certainly not one of the big donors at the school like Pitt Hyde's (Autozone) family is, among others.

Could also be that CBHS guys were seen as "cooler" than MUS guys, at least it was back when I was in HS, and Richard is my age.

Those are global companies. The white collar hub is in Houston.
