You're an idiot.
First of all the majority of Big Ten games are played in better weather than SEC Games.
You idiots focus on one or two games at the end of the year when it might be 30 and snowing, while the majority of Big Ten games are played in 60 Degree Low Humidity weather.
Beats the hell out of playing in 98 degrees & 100 percent humidity swamp arse weather.
Caleb Downs, Sayin, & that Bama Center all transferred to Ohio State.
Judkins transferred to Ohio State.
Jeremiah Smith is from Florida.
Ohio State starting RB Henderson is from Florida.
Larry Ellison just gifted Underwood to Michigan.
Phil Knight is buying anything and anyone that Oregon wants/needs.
Need I go on ?
The OP is spot on.
Like it or not the Big Ten Blue Bloods have deeper pockets and will continue to get anyone they want.
Playing close to home so Mama can watch the game isn't necessary.
Big Ten NIL money is more than enough to fly Mama to the game in First Class & put her up at a 5 Star Hotel.
And for the few athletes that give a shite about academics we all know that Big Ten institutions blow the SEC away in academics.

Then why does the SEC continue to dominate recruiting and the portal?

will now be legal for Athletic Departments to make direct payments to athletes and the Big 10 Schools will be able to pay more. Sankey probably got a lot of under the table money to sign off on a deal which has put the SEC in a greatly inferior position financially. Big 10 schools will be able to pay players more and will buy better players. Sux but true.
I don’t buy this for a second…however if it’s true…we can all laugh at Aggie, who missed their only opportunity to be a relevant football program

So point to the rankings that show this rather than cherry picking a few examples. I keep seeing people on here crying that the Big Ten is buying all the best players but I don't see that except a few players here and there.

Maybe aggie wants to jump ship over there?

Aggie is already taunting SEC with Big 10 posts.
I told ya they gone.

So this is a few players here or there? Keep your head in the sand if you want.
And this statement is coming from someone who was dyed in the wool SEC since the days when Archie played.

Why are you always posting some dumb crap all of the time?

Yes that is a sample size. You do realize how many people enter the portal right?
If the SEC is losing so much talent and getting raided by the Big Ten than why does 24/7 have 4 of the top 5 teams for the portal this year all come from the SEC with the outlier being Texas Tech?
Why was 6 of the top 10, including the top 2, in recruiting from the SEC?
34 of the top 50 recruits are going to SEC schools.
If you look at the top portal talent, most of it is going to the SEC or is projected to go to the SEC.
We have just as much talent as ever. The problem is it's spread out. The SEC was way better top to bottom this year instead of us waiting for when Alabama and Georgia play.

Get your head out of your arse. You sound like the people telling us the Chinese drone surveillance of US military facilities is harmless.
You also probably don't even know that China has sent numerous balloons over the US starting in Trump's first term.
You probably sit on the couch all afternoon chugging beer and watching mindless TBob and Moscano.

So Texas, TAM, Georgia, Bama, etc don’t have any money? LOL the recruiting rankings are dominated by SEC teams. Tennessee beat Bama. They didn’t beat anyone else with a pulse. 78th SOS.

Gotta call BS. Texas, Louisiana, Bama, Sip boys aren’t going to go freeze their asses off.
Also, it’s actually tough to buy championships. It’s tried every year in every sport and only works if there’s an actual team, not a bunch of individuals with fat bank accounts. SEC will be fine.

I think OSU spending money can be very, very good because they have the recruited talent base to go with mercenaries picked up through the portal.
Michigan might be able to do that too.
Oregon and USC as well due to their west coast location.
But that's it. It's not like the Wisconsin and PSU's are going to all of a sudden be topping the talent composite ratings. The Big 10 money can help a few of the teams... but they're the ones who already recruited pretty well before NIL.
Posted on 12/22/24 at 9:57 pm to ColoradoElkHerd
An Aggy once told me that throwing all kinds of money at people does not necessarily produce championship results.

This exactly. OSU and Michigan has $$. Maybe Penn St too; lots of alums in NYC with $$. USC and Oregon with the Nike money. But that’s it.
