I'm sure you're taking the more difficult schedule part from the computers but if you had a more difficult schedule it was only by a miniscule amount
Can you read? LSU's schedule was ranked 5th toughest, Alabama's 10th. I said so in my last post.
Alabama's defense was slightly better against a much worse schedule. The proof of that was head to head.

So, just to get this straight, your argument is that LSU's running backs should be better than ours next year because Jordan Jefferson out rushed McElroy?
So is Jefferson going to forget to how to run this year? I said that LSU out-rushed Alabama last year. That was true. I also said I thought the Tigers would out-rush the Tide this year as well. That remains to be seen. But you seem to discount the possibility.
I'm also saying that a new QB behind an OL that gave up as many sacks as Alabama did last year...third most in the conference, ten more than LSU...and loses it's top WR, TE, and LT...is going to take a step back.
We'll see.

LOL, good job ignoring the part about the defensive stats in conference.
Is this what your argument has been reduced to?
Jefferson has frick all to do with it. You said LSU had a better running back group coming back because LSU out rushed us last year. Which makes no sense at all, especially since our running backs out rushed yours. If you had said LSU will have a better overall rushing game next year because of Jefferson (so Mett isn't the savior?) then maybe your argument would make some sense.
And fwiw I don't discount anything, LSU could well run for more yards than us next year. But that's obviously not what we've been arguing about.

LSU is preseason #1 by CBS and ESPN, and the like have LSU top 4, ahead of Alabama..and Arkansas is outside the top 15 in those polls.
You are not paying attention to LSU's roster
I could see us not living up to that ranking however as we open with Oregon, got to WVU, go to Bama, UT, and Ole Miss... basically 6 road games this year.
If LSU gets the O going, they should win the SEC...it's that simple

For the record, Miles went 10-1 in 2005. That was a 1 loss regular season. That is all anyone is predicting here is regular season.

2006 team was probably the most talented

1. LSU
2. Bama
3. MSU
4. Arkansas
5. AU
6. Ole Miss
The top 5 teams could be swapped around some. I see no hope for OM getting out of the cellar however.

Seems reasonable. 2012 will be the Year of the Flagship.

And good job ignoring the whole stats vs schedule thing. As well as the head to head.

I said that LSU out-rushed Alabama last year. I provided a link to prove it. Feel free to go back and re-read my posts then quote me where I said that about running backs. You Tide fans get all riled up when someone doesn't agree with you and see things that aren't there.
quote:
Which makes no sense at all, especially since our running backs out rushed yours.
I also said Alabama would miss Ingram more than LSU would miss Ridley.
Ingram is gone, and he accounted for about half of your yardage. Does anyone really believe that Ridley was the most talented runner LSU had? You won't find many LSU fans that believe that.

You have no clue what you're arguing about. I've yet to have a discussion in this thread with a Tide fan who didn't misquote or misunderstand me.
At this point, anyone's prediction is good. Mine is that LSU was better than Alabama this year, and will be next year as well. I think my Tigers will win the SEC next year, and I'm not afraid to say it.

SEC - East
Irrelevant, the winner of the division will still likely be only the 4th or 5th best team in the conference. South Carolina might as well win it again.
SEC - West
1. Alabama
2. LSU
3. Auburn
4. Mississippi State
5. Arkansas
6. Ole Miss
The top 5 will be pretty close together. Ole Miss will be a very distant 6th with their only win(s) probably being against East teams.

I have a hardtime believing that MSU will finish ahead of Arky, let alone beat us in Little Rock

Me, too, but you have to admit it's at least a possibility.
