Lane makes the playoffs which is probably a 60% chance as of today then he wont be available for any team.

If Lane makes the playoff, he is 100% gone. This is gonna be the biggest coaching search of recent memory. He of course wont make the playoffs, but he is probably still gone

Good one. He played high school and college football in State College.

What if he makes the playoffs and gets beat by 20+ ?

Last yrs OM team was pretty good and he still lost to a bad UF team and Dumbass Billy

With the portal timing, hiring a coach that's in the playoffs is next to impossible.

Not sure on the others but I would think it's 50/50 we get Kiffin to come to UF. Not sure who is telling him this but Shane Matthew's seems to think we will go after Drinkwitz if we can't get Kiffin. Not really big on that because I think he had it kind of like Stoops did a few years back at KY. Not much pressure and relatively easier SEC schedules. Not sure how he would do with the pressure here.

I’m actually in line with the Ole Miss fans. I don’t think Kiffin really has any desire to leave Ole Miss.

At this point in his life, why should he? He’s finally found a place that he is comfortable at, has the full support of the administration and fanbase. He can make the playoffs where he currently is.

The guy has moved around a lot in his life. At some point, you just want to lay down some roots and stay put. Oxford is a great place to do so.

Sumrall is a great coach and person. He wants the UK job and they also want him but Stoops' buyout is making that difficult. He'd do a good job at Auburn though.

Until 2024, you really couldn't win a championship at Ole Miss. You can now, so Kiffin might be comfortable and stay at Ole Miss. The entire landscape has changed, but with said, expect Ohio State to be the new Alabama-with-Saban on steroids.

This would be the greatest thing ever. Florida St could put the nail in the coffin.

curious as to why so many think Freezus gets another year

Penn State, a school that i know is having budgetary problems, will be paying out more to fire Franklin as AU would have to pay for Gustav/Meathead/Freezus combined
