Seems about right to me. Spurrier is not the same coach he once was due to age/health while Bielema is probably trending up. Pinkel probably should be higher on the list for doing more with less but of course the less part is the problem.

Agree with D'Antonio. I was very surprised not to see him ranked in the top 10. Would'nt mind if he was Scar's coach after Spurrier retires, especially since he's a USC grad and former football player for us.

I'd love Dantonio, and I like the style of play that he has State running, but he's too old to be considered for when Spurrier retires. He's already in his early 60s, I think.

I feel as if Dantonio, Harbaugh, and Snyder are very underrated on that list.

perennial [puh-ren-ee-uh l]

adjective
1.lasting for an indefinitely long time; enduring:
2.(of plants) having a life cycle lasting more than two years.
3.lasting or continuing throughout the entire year, as a stream.
4.perpetual; everlasting; continuing; recurrent.

Richt's record

His percentage is 0.73. 8-4 is 0.66.

Allow me to rephrase,

quote:

7. Mark Richt, Georgia
Is that the highest ranking perennial 9-3 coach?

Apologies.

* his bowl record is .643, which is slightly less than the 8-4 ratio.

Gus may well be on his way there, but I wouldn't put him in the top 5 yet. Other than that I agree.

Can't argue with that. Malzahn may very well be a top 5 coach but there's just not enough of a track record to prove it yet. I'd have him in the top 20 but not to 10 right now.

Where are all the Aggie's? I figured they'd be here with the quickness on this one.

It's too absurd to get upset about.

Personally, I think the dumbest thing about the rankings is how low they have Snyder. Snyder at 16 is ridiculous. He should be borderline top 5.

We must have paid someone off to have Strong ranked in the top 25. So embarrassed to have him as our head coach.

Should have gone with Briles. Chollie won't last. Dude can barely string a sentence together.

Fair enough. FWIW I think Strong is going have UT heading back in the right general direction before he gets fired.

I agree 100%.

From what I read, Briles didn't want to interview, he just wanted an offer. This was too much for our new idiot AD. Say what you want about old man Dodds, he would have had Briles in Burnt Orange. Now, our defensive minded head coaching is getting slaughtered by every decent team.

I don't agree with Miles, Richt, Malzahn, stoops or even Saban

Myers 1
Saban 2
Miles 6
Stoops 8
Richt 10
Malzahn 12-14

Richt still a lil too high. I love him to death but I got him 13-15 at best...

Spurrier, miles and stoops

List is terrible. Seems like they went strictly on wins and losses/program notoriety and not on actual coaching ability.

Have you met the guy? Seemed pretty smart to me. If he brings in Smart you calling him an idiot kind of goes out the window.

Mack Brown left that program as a complete dumpster fire. Nick Saban could have been the coach this year and they still would have gotten rolled by a lot of teams. Fwiw, West Virginia was actually pretty decent last year too.

I just don't see that happening.
Had Malik Jefferson not signed with that class it would have been a typical Fran class that didn't address ANY needs.

He filled that class out of the "hope" that Texas would be back.
After a worse year in 2015 because of QB probs (and it could be a LOT worse), he will sign a similar class.
Putting him in the exact same position heading in to 2016.

His buyout will prevent him from being fired imo, but shite is about to get REAL on the 40 acres.
I am an Aggie who likes all things Texas, and think it's better for the state as a whole if they are competitive. However, Charlie is not the answer. He is the problem.

I don't think he's the answer either, but I do think he's going to leave the program in better shape than it was when he arrived.

He will fix the "entitlement" of We ARE Texas, yes.
He will be worse in every other category and the truth of We WERE Texas will set in. (I liked Mack Brown)

Then another coaching search will begin, and I hope they find someone who is articulate at the very least.
His interviews/pressers are nails-on-the-chalkboard excruciating lol.
