For me, it's what you see on game day. He isn't lost with certain matchups and schemes, and he has all his guys playing hard. The talent coming to Kentucky is just a given.

At Rupp. Crowd anticipating blood…and got humiliated.

That won’t wear off anytime soon.

And every Hog fan would trade that one night for UK's season.

Meanwhile the Hogs just recently moved to life on the bubble.

Now you tell me which coach has had the better season.

But congrats on your Super Bowl victory, if you guys don't make the NCAA tournament that one win should get you a 2 seed in the NIT,

You guys are really bad at this.

Cal took 3 guys from UK who were 3 of your top 4 scorers in your Super Bowl victory in Rupp.

OTHER THAN THAT, it must sound familiar.

Anyone who thinks Pope has not done a great job is delusional. The Cats will be a problem if they start playing defense. Hopefully they will in March like Bama did last year…. Final 4?

You have no clue, but that’s expected. This team has dealt with injuries all year and lost its starting point guard.

Also there were no players on the roster when cal got here no matter where he got these players from. And as of now they are in the dance.

You are really bad at this.

He tries to say that like it's remotely the same. You just have to laugh at the reach.

The fact that Pope DID have to put together an entire roster seems to bother him.

The fact that Arkansas had to put together an entire roster seems to evade you boys. Good grief.

Kentucky has been without a PG for a couple of weeks now.

Man, that's some serious mental gymnastics to show the insecurity some of y'all have over Pope. Thread didn't even mention Cal or Arkansas and y'all come running (and then will lament that Kentucky fans replied to you).

So Arkansas had no players return from last season? Didn't get any transfers from Kentucky, who had already played a season in Calipari's system?

We all know the difference.

This is probably the worst roster Pope will have to endure at UK. Even with that they’ll still dance this year.

Nice reach you boys are putting out there.pretty funny.

So he recruited and brought players from his former team to mix with players he had to recruit. Those players weren’t here before he came.

Your coach brought a player, I guess the only one who would go with him and I thought y’all have always said kentucky recruits itself so I guess that’s wrong or the players he brought wouldn’t have left.

I don’t know why you boys are so angry but maybe time will take care of it.

There’s no talking to you….haha

Then your "Cal has done the exact same as Pope" comments are non sequitur.

Don’t think anyone disputes both coaches had to put together a complete roster, although I thought there was a holdover for the Hogs. That was the only thing vaguely “familiar” with the two situations.

Cal had 3 players, 2 starters, follow him to Fayetteville, and now all 3 are starters for Arkansas. Pope had a 6th man follow him to UK that became a starter. Two completely different situations.

How different? In your Super Bowl the 3 UK transfers accounted for 52 points while Pope’s 6th man transfer scored 20.

I’m sure you just forgot that playing a year under your coach makes a big difference.

DJ backs up Fland after starting all last season at PG for the same coach. Our 3rd string PG was trying to win his HS district this time last year and figure out his prom date.

Again, two completely different situations when it comes to injuries.

Don’t want to get in the middle of this pissing match, but watching Arky fans try to convince KY fans that they should feel jilted instead of elated is so weird as an outsider.

Bama wouldn’t have touched Cal with a 10 foot pole, even if Oats had gone to the NBA. He’s the Dabo of college basketball

I don't understand why Arkansas fans are sour. You got what you wanted. A guy you spent 15 years telling us that he's a terrible coach that relies solely on talent. Congratulations, you and everyone else were right. When other programs adopted his one and done system it made him completely obsolete.

Enjoy

That being said, I still appreciate Cals success here. A championship and four final fours.
