Nice try, Special Ed.
Fail, unfortunately.
The "30 for 30" schedule was released July 29, 2010.
Keep on believing though.

Your own link shows it airing:

Thanks for just proving my assertion that it was certainly no coincidence the show aired when it did after the Heisman trophy presentation. Care to retract your statement?

1. Good show.
2. People SHUT THE frick UP ABOUT AU AND THE DEATH PENALTY. It is not even possible. AU is not in the 5 year repeat violator window. It is impossible and I can't believe so many of you are so fricking ignorant and just flat out stupid and pathetic you do not even know this after this long.
3. Bama is the only SEC team that is even a remote possibility of the death penalty. No one else even qualifies right now.
quote:
The rule stipulates that if a second major violation occurs at any institution within five years of being on probation in the same sport or another sport, that institution can be barred from competing in the sport involved in the second violation for either one or two seasons.
You're wrong. Why didn't you quote the rest of the paragraph?
quote:
The NCAA has always had the power to ban an institution from competing in a particular sport. However, in 1985, in response to rampant violations at several schools, the NCAA Council passed the "repeat violator" rule. The rule stipulates that if a second major violation occurs at any institution within five years of being on probation in the same sport or another sport, that institution can be barred from competing in the sport involved in the second violation for either one or two seasons. In cases of particularly egregious misconduct, a school can also be stripped of its right to vote at NCAA conventions for four years. The "repeat violator" rule gave the Infractions Committees of the various NCAA divisions specific instances where it either must bar a school from competing or explain why it didn't. The NCAA still has the power to ban schools from competing in a sport without any preliminary sanctions in cases of particularly serious violations.

While I am not a fan of Auburn, they are a fellow SEC school. What is happening at Auburn however is sickening to me.
I actually would rather see the guilty people get punished instead of the University, ie, Cecil Newton, Cam Newton, any and all people who had a hand in bringing this sordid mess to Auburn.
The reason, if you were watching 'The Pony Excess', the death penalty of SMU affected the whole conference.
If Auburn is put inder severe sanctions, it could have a profound effect on the Southeastern Conference.
The NCAA HAS to do this right. Only punish the people that were involved and not the whole University football program.

Eh, I don't buy that.
Alabama was severe probation and the conference didn't die and they won a national championship and had multiple highly ranked recruiting classes within 10 years.
The death penalty - if given to an SEC school - might hurt the conference, but you would have many good programs lining up to replace them
This crap is bad for the SEC because it puts a stank on the rest of the teams, especially when it looks like the commissioner is working overtime to sweep it under the rug.
They're going to get away with it.

Will that be your defense if AU gets caught Bama did it too ten yrs ormore earlier. TNM after all the shite threads you started about Bama and cheating I only find it poetic justice that you have to sit here while your school is atleast investigated and their rep tarnished. Problem is if Auburn and I admit it is a big if were to be caught you would simply disappear.

I doubt it. And if they do, it will only make them bolder. They will expand their efforts and then get caught. It's best for everyone (including the Auburn fans) if they just get their asses handed to them now.
