All college coaches are overpaid. The obsession with Jimbos money is unparalleled.
It doesn't matter if you are paying 1 or 10 mil. If you are a .500 team, no one is happy.
And finishing 3rd in your division for 5 mil doesn't feel better than finishing 2nd for 7.
Everyone wants to win it all.
So this BS argument needs to just go away.
But we all know it won't.

Meh just says more about how much A&m has to pay to get a good coach because it's A&m. Not really about the money itself.

I personally love spening large sums of money for no other reasons but I can. So I'd hire him and lock him down as soon as he won't 7 games.

A&M has a long history of hiring re-tread coaches that have had great histories at other places, as they desperately try to emulate programs that have had success, but it has not worked out just yet.
