All I ask is that we do away with "permanent traditional rivals" and we stop calling them pods. You can have 4 divisions. Hell, it's the SEC, I'm sure we get down with the 4x4.

Western div- Tejas, OK, A&M, Mizzou
Delta div - LSU, MSU, OM, Ark
Central div - Bama, AU, UT, Vandy
Eastern div - UF, SC, KY, UGA

This makes the most sense from a rivalry standpoint. It's also fairly balanced. Other than A$M fans bitching about playing Texas and other old B12 teams, there is literally NO reason not to go with it. There will still be 6 other SEC teams on your schedule.

Yeah. Either these pods or do the divisions with Bama/barn in the East and Mizzou to the West.

We play LSU & Arkansas or we burn it all down. Hard to imagine not playing either at this point.

I 100% want to play Texas every year but I also understand those who prioritize LSU / Arkansas over them … gun to my head … it’s probably #1 LSU #2 ARK #3 TX in terms of priority right now. I don’t care about Texas other than shutting them the frick up. I enjoy what we have with LSU and ARK immensely.

Yeah but people seem to think putting TX, OU, A&M all in one pod and LSU in with only ARK, OM, and MSST is unfair
How so? OU/Aggy would have Mizzou and Texas to beat up. Miss State/LSU/Ole MIss/Arkansas is just as strong of a division. If anything Bama/Vandy/Tn/Auburn is the weakest pod.

Texas, Aggy, Mizzou, Arkansas would be a nice pod but they'll never do it.

Arkansas , LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State is the only one that works. if they do pod +2 permanents than , yeah, add Aggy and Horn to our schedule.

Kentucky's pod will be South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

We want the pod with Tennessee, Vandy, and Missouri.

Completely disregards Kentucky's rivalries. Nice.

This map shows that the FLA GA SC pod is perfectly set up to take in Clemson to balance the numbers

Throwing Arkansas in an all big 12 pod but letting AGGY have our spot in an sec pod? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

What?

You wanted them.

Plus the OP’s format does a nice job balancing power - with Arkie and Mizzou being sort of the same and traditionally worse than OU and Texas (who is traditionally worse than OU, but a competitive peer in any given year), and with Miss and Miss State being sort of the same and traditionally worse than LSU and aggy (who is traditionally worse than LSU, but a competitive peer in any given year).

I didn’t claim the AT was in Alabama. There are trails that lead to the AT, however, called access trails.

The frontier pod should be called the SWC pod.

I can tell u this pod thing isn't going to happen. First, it's too complicated to determine a champion. 2nd, the sec isn't stopping here. They plan to become a 20-24 team conference thAt will align with 2 other conferences to create an nfl type scenario. Lastly, it keeps rivalries intact. Auburn vs Florida is back, auburns and Georgia is back as auburn has its largest alumni population in Georgia outside of Alabama. Bama keeps Tennessee as Tennessee's largest alumni population outside of tn is Alabama and Georgia. Alabama's largest alumni population outside of Alabama is in Tennessee and Georgia.

Over in the west Mississippi has its largest group outside ms in Louisiana. LSU has its largest alumni group outside of la in Texas. Texas and a&m have their largest groups outside of tx in Louisiana. The divisions won't last but for the next 5 or 6 years this is the setup.
