In every respect, it is literally the JV version of the Auburn-Alabama rivalry.

What's the behavior to be viewed in Starkville & Junktion on gameday?
One might assume the MSU fanbase is nothing but fat, overall wearing, dipshite rednecks wearing Justins.

He just doesn’t understand what people see in the grove when Starkville has the junction.

The remaining male students at Ole Miss at the time, the cowards and the cripples, make up the ancestral base for all the Ole Miss fans you see today.

This is true. The Egg Bowl has all the hate of the Iron Bowl with none of the consequence.

Ole Miss colors are cool and unique.

No Ole Miss fan in existence thinks our program is comparable with Alabama or Oklahoma.
You’re right. I meant to say that y’all act like you’re the Harvard of the south when you’re more on par with Troy academically.
Geaux to hell Ole Miss

I disagree with this. Most of the t-shirt fans I know are State fans.
You must not walk around Mississippi much, most of the t-shirt fans are wearing crimson.

The "Harvard of the South" is a stupid nickname.
No one "acts" like we are on par with Harvard. Do you know any Ole Miss student, alum, or faculty who believes otherwise? Of course you don't.

Ole Miss has lots of students who come in from the north - degenerates with rich parents.
No
80% of the students are from the south. Most are from Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama.

LSU #153 nationally, Ole Miss #160
Apparently Troy is academically on par with LSU as well.

The thing about this ridiculous take is that anyone in the nation is free to travel to Oxford and take a stroll through the grove on game day. Those who do this and are unbiased going into it will readily see that it's no lazy stereotype. The pretention hangs in the air like the smell of bourbon and chicken tenders. It's probably the first thing they'll notice....right ahead of the startling lack of diversity
The definition of ignorant = lacking knowledge or awareness in general; uneducated or unsophisticated.
So if there is a startling lack of diversity at Ole Miss what would you see at State considering that the two schools basically have near identical ethnic enrollment???

So what is your feel for South Carolina?

Here’s factual takes.
- Ole Miss’s AD consistently makes poor decisions. It shows on the field.
- Ole Miss’s football team has an incredible knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the most unbelievable manners.
- State fans have a chip on their shoulder about anything Ole Miss. It’s common with other similarly situated schools (such as Auburn and Oklahoma State). I’ll give credit where it’s due: they’re the better run AD.
- The Grove is a blast, especially if you like cold Wal-Marks chicken tendies.
- There are a lot of stereotypes about Ole Miss folks and a faux superiority complex. There are some rich people at Ole Miss, just like any other school, but I really don’t know where this stereotype comes from. Most of my friends came from middle and upper middle class backgrounds, which is exceedingly common for college students in the South. Probably due to the very high greek population and the country club atmosphere they emulate, IE: student section being largely dressed as if they were going clubbing.
- There are more State fans than Rebs in Mississippi. This is probably due to the fact State has been more successful than Ole Miss in major sports the past three decades (Not sure this is really impactful, Ole Miss does lead State in football, which is the end all, for the last 20 years, in basketball MSU owns a small series lead) and enrolls and graduates more Mississippians. This is also why there is more hatred directed from Starkville to Oxford than the other way. Many, if not the majority of Ole Miss grads leave Mississippi
A few things, Oxford is located in the extreme north of the state, only 40m from Memphis. Many of the students come from Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and even Southern Illinois. For example, when I attended Ole Miss (I grew up near Natchez MS), I was on a scholarship, and clearly felt like I was more comfortable with most of my friends who went to MSU, USM, or LSU, many of the students at Ole Miss were openly more wealthy than I, I had not seen that many German cars in one place in my life. But as I progressed it was less of an issue, and more "me". But to reinforce what was said, my best friends were from Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida, and Missouri respectively, and my girlfriend and eventual wife was from just south of Carbondale, Illinois. It is correct that most of the grads leave the state, because they become lawyers, doctors, pharmacists etc and they find better employment elsewhere... OR They go back home to another state. MSU's ties to agriculture lead to many staying home in Mississippi. Another thing is that Ole Miss has been traditionally much smaller than MSU, so there are less grads. For instance Ole Miss's total enrollment is 18K including grad schools, MSU is around 25K. But the main issues are: Ole Miss has a beautiful campus, MSU's is forgettable. And then there is this:

It probably seems a lot more than it is. That would be a "metric ton" of students that would be paying their own way instead of going to a Georgia school where tuition is covered via the Hope scholarship.
