Well Georgia is pretty much a lock to get in now.

Who does the committee take at #4 if Georgia wins the SEC and these are the rankings before the championship games and the teams win their championship games. My guess is they might say the 2 good wins at the end are enough to put a 1 loss Big 12 winner in over Cincy.

Would the committee take a 2 loss Bama over Notre Dame if Oregon or Cincy lost a game and the Big 12 champ had 2 losses?

Rankings entering championship games:

1. Georgia
2. Bama
3. 1 loss Big 10 champ
4. Oregon
5. Cincy
6. 1 loss Oklahoma State or Oklahoma
7. Notre Dame

All it takes is another 2007. Chaos doesn't feel so far-fetched this season.

I don't see Notre Dame getting in at all...

why don't people let thsi go? It's not happening. A 2-loss team that did not win their conference has zero chance at going.

I do think that Cincy loss gives the committee an argument to keep them out and to let a 2 loss Bama in.

Ohio State won’t get through MSU, UM and Wisky without 1 loss.
Ok St will run the table and win Big12
Oregon win’t beat Utah twice.

UGA
Michigan
Ok St
Cincinnati.

Or

Alabama
UGA
Michigan
Ok St

The committee will do whatever it takes to get Alabama in the playoff. Alabama can lose to Georgia and have 2 losses, and they will be in due to “eye test” and not on field results. Their resume took a hit with Florida sucking, Miami being awful and Auburn now going backwards without a starting QB. Their best wins will likely be Ole Miss, MSU and Arkansas.

There was no “justification” in 2019 without the chaos of what is happening in 2021.

There is still too much football left to play to get wrapped up in playoff scenarios now.

Agreed. I think Oklahoma State is the hybrid contender.

If they go undefeated with Georgia beating Alabama and Ohio State or Oregon losing one game, the Pokes will jump Notre Dame.

If Bama loses to GA in the SEC Championship game, then Bama will not get in.

From Twitter. This is a game from 2018

Kicking a FG with 1:33 left to play is a bit different that calling a timeout to kick a FG with 3-seconds left to play.

The last time we had 2 losses we didn't even make the NY6 led alone the playoff. They sent us to the fvckin Citrus Bowl

But sure, if this is how you guys want to cope, go ahead and cope.

Congrats UGA, barring catastrophic injuries you got this.

Bama doesn't have it this year and OSU, Clemson, and Oklahoma are down. There is simply is not much competition at the top.

How do you know the 2nd loss isn't to the barn and here comes the Tide to Atlanta?

It wouldn't surprise me to look up and see

Georgia
Cincinnati
ND
Michign State/Ohio State

in the playoffs.

ETA
I should also say that it would not surprise me to see us get beat by Alabama and see
Georgia
Alabama
Cincinnati
ND in the playoffs, with the BIG 10 knocking each other out.
