Yes, but three losses including a blowout loss. Deal with it - you don’t deserve a spot this year. Maybe next year

They need a lot of help and chaos for sure. But the way they ranked the teams and the matchups that just happen to be playing out this week + they have a shot at one of if not the years most impressive win.

I said they have zero shot yesterday. I’d say they have a 10% chance now

You should worry less about our resume and more about being a paper tiger yourself. We are going to beat your arse on Friday just like last year, just like next year.

Good luck. We are better at every position unless the game comes down to a field goal.

Idk man. That Texas offense looked totally different last week. Against the worst defense in the SEC but scoring 50 is always impressive.

Texas defense has totally collapsed though especially on the back end. I suspect a shoot out

Dude, they played against Arkansas that had no defense. Easy to stat-pad against bad teams.

Miami up to 12 edging closer to ND to kick them out

I read that the chairman said that Miami and ND were in the same pod of teams. If that’s the case, Miami is pretty much screwed. You can only use head to head results if the two teams are in the same pod. Given that the chairman said they were in the same pod, unlike last week, and they still kept ND ahead, it’s hard seeing them jumping ND.

I missed it .. if Lane goes elsewhere and OM beats Ms State, they’re out due to the coach leaving?

Or only out if OM loses to Ms State AND coach leaves?

The interpretation is the following if Lane does not sign an extension with OM prior to the next CFP rankings release:

1) OM beats State but falls to #9 and loses a home playoff game (costing the university and community the $80M economic benefit)

2) OM loses to State and is OUT of the CFP

Read the ESPN summary for week 13. Any team with three losses is automatically out. Which makes sense. A three loss team that didn’t even play for the conference title would be unprecedented. Several 10-2 teams would revolt and the NCAA loses face once again.

What happens if Miami blows the doors off #22 Pitt this week?

At some point the games on the field and results have to matter. It doesn’t matter if it was week 1 they should carry the same weight as week 13. If Miami and ND are this close and Miami ends the season with a ranked win it would be absolutely ridiculous to put ND in and not Miami. I think there’s a solid chance they both get in, but if only one can it should be Miami since they beat ND ya know

Yes- there are complexities. This was just a warning that they were prepared to go nuclear to prevent every CFP going forward from being affected by this.

Why is Miami moving up but Vandy isn’t? Miami looked terrible against a 3-win VT team and Vandy boat-raced a Kentucky team that can still make a bowl game. And why is Vandy behind fraud teams like BYU and Utah?

BYU is getting screwed in the rankings in what, I suspect, is a deliberate attempt to keep them out of an at large spot should they be the Big 12 CCG loser. That way they won't have to punish someone for losing the conference championship as they're making sure they won't be in that position in the first place.

From a resume standpoint, it's pretty stupid that a 1-loss team with the #6 SOR (1 spot ahead of Ole Miss) is being valued where it is.

Say Vandy boat races Tennessee who they have at 19. A 10-2 SEC team who ends the year like that has to be in right?

Highly doubt Vandy prevents UT from scoring. Not saying Vandy can’t win, but that game won’t be a blowout for Vandy in Knoxville.

One of the funnier things about all of this to me is the fact that Sextons son went to ole Miss and sexton is just fricking up everything ole Miss has going for them
