The NFL guys need to get back to training camp, it seems. That TRO was based on the Colorado ruling.

Would certainly seem to put that lawsuit at risk, but impossible to guess what am individual judge would do at this point

That's the thing. Doubt they have a training camp to get back to. That extra year of eligibility is their fall-back option.

Of the 3 Ole Miss players, 2 are currently on an NFL roster

Must assume they aren't gonna make it?

No idea.

Of the two currently in the NFL, Williams seems more likely than not to make the Cardinals.

From what I can see in the court documents, Wright joined the lawsuit the day after the Eagles cut him. But he was then offered a contract by the Browns and accepted it so no idea what he's thinking l.

I am sure the NFL just loves this.

I said it the other day, but I would not be surprised one bit if the NFL tries passing a rule to put an end to this. They cannot be happy they are being outbid by colleges for practice squad / depth chart pieces.

Does anyone even have huge amounts of NIL money sitting around right now for these players? I cant imagine these players have much bargaining power for NIL deals when they're crawling back to college football a week and half before the season kicks off. All the NIL funds are probably already allocated to the players already on the rosters.

Some schools will just auction off a little extra ownership of their program to cover additional NIL costs.

The tough spot a lot of teams in are actual roster spots. Unless you dismiss or cut some walk-ons, which is a tough message to send to your team, most of the top level schools this year have full rosters.

Ole Miss for example only has one open spot that I know because a walk-on opted to go the JUCO route after spring ball. They can't take them all back.
