Cam Newton. I can’t stand the guy, but he is the best college QB I have ever seen, and I have been watching college football since the 60s. He was simply unstoppable.

Also, I am a huge Tebow fan. I have his autograph and have met him.

And there you have it.

FYI, the year Tebow won the Heisman, Florida was 9-4.

Cam Newton is not in the top 50 in NFL career passing yards, perhaps you should have looked it up.

Newton is 30th in career passer rating (playing in an era which allows for much higher ratings than past eras).

What statistical justification do you have for calling him a top 10 NFL quarterback?

Passing & Rushing...look it up, pal.

While Cam is a great running QB. His passing stats are nothing special in the NFL. From 2011 - Current he has the below passing stats:

Passing TDs – 182 tds which is 11th best during this time frame
Comp % - 59.65%
INT – 107 which is 4th most during this time frame
Passing Yards –28469 yards which is 9th best during this time frame

But but but he doesn’t have any weapons. Besides. This is an sec qb thread. What happens after college doesnt matter. Tebow was better.

Cam was bigger, faster, stronger, better passer, better run and did more with less than Tebow.

Cam led a trash JUCO to a NC.
Then came to Auburn and almost singlehandedly took them to a NC.

Tebow played on a offense with Harvin, Cooper, Murphy, Hernandez, Nelson, The Pouncey Twins, 2 other pro linemen. Not to mention the Defense.

Only other pros on that Auburn team were 1 offensive lineman, Nick Fairley, Zack Clayton, Daren Bates & Josh Bynes.

Cam went undefeated with that team, Tebow NEVER went undefeated with probably the Top 4 most talented team ever.

Its Cam. It's NOT CLOSE. Get your head out of Tebow,s pants, you could see it.

I agree, but when someone posted nonsense about Cam being a top 10 NFL qb all time I had no choice.

I honestly have no idea who Chris Relf even is.

Josh Booty? That is a random pick.

Now add the rushing stats for QBs....

No way was Tebow better, Tebow was great but not better than Cam. I like Tebow thought he was one of the best players in College but not better than Cam. Cam put the Auburn team on his shoulders and won many games himself. Tebow always stumbled somewhere in the season. His heisman year he lost 4 times, he was just pushed a lot by ESPN.

Nick Fitzgerald is the best sec qb of all time. Leads in all time rushing yards and he threw a touchdown pass one time. Get it right y’all

Ole Scam played one season of CFB and people think he was a better college QB than Tebow?

yes? What does their length of time have to do with anything? I saw both in person in addition to many other games on TV not involving my team and cam is simply better. I said it in the other thread but there's not a single thing tebow can do that cam couldn't also do and better.

It's even funnier that this is in a "1 game" scenario. AU goes 8-4 at best in 2010 without cam. He showed what he could do in "1 game situations" plenty of times and never came out on the losing end.

Personally picking Johnny out of Bias.

Cam is the answer. Tebow was a fantastic college QB, but he was perfect for that system. Cam could be dropped into any offense.

1. Cam
2. Johnny
3. Tebow

No he isn't and he hasn't been a top 10 QB
"statisically" in 3 years.
