The guy who never lost as a starter and won a Heisman and NC in the same year.

Tebow, then Manziel, then Matt Jones.

In the NFL yeah, at Arkansas when he played QB, he was one of the most dynamic players in Arkansas history.

Either Andrew hatch or Anthony Jennings....

The answer is obviously Cam. Drop him into QB on this year’s Auburn team, and they’re going undefeated.

Casey Freakin Clausen
14-1 on the road; 34-10 overall.

Manziel was not a good passer. He had all day to throw because his starting OL had 4 guys that went on to be drafted in the 1st round as OTs
Have you seen UGA's OL?
quote:
When he finally did decide to throw it he basically chucked up prayers that only 6'5" All-Pro freak Mike Evans would be able to come down with
This is why I added my other remark in a separate post, mentioning maybe one of the Bama QBs. When I made my first comment, I was just thinking out of the 3 "best QBs" who would I drop in... but yeah, it's not like there is a perfect QB for every offensive style/roster, it's all about tradeoffs. BUT... if I went Manziel, I've got 6'5" Charlie Woerner at TE/Flex End... 6'5" Lawrence Cager transfer WR from Miami who is getting good buzz this summer... 5* Incoming Freshman George Pickens who is known for good hands and body control... I wouldn't feel terrible about our odds of pulling down a lot of those throws.
quote:
Tebow had even more to work with.
It's not like we're working with a barren roster. He was a great leader. He made players around him better.
quote:
And don't give me that shite about "but muh offensive system", Carolina finally brought in a real OC who installed the most complex offense of his career for Cam last year and he thrived passing the ball, and did it all with a bum shoulder, no Olsen, and shite WRs.
You're taking this as some slight against Cam. He's 8 fricking years into his NFL career... one would hope that as a professional athlete you continue to grow and develop. But I am assuming the hypothetical is dropping in the player "from their NCAA prime" essentially... not where they got to now. If not, then there is no way I want Manziel on my roster. I'd take Cam or Stafford I guess just based on NFL capabilities?

How in the actual frick would JFF and WWJD have fit better into Georgia's pro style system?
As I said neither of them are perfect fits... but it certainly feels weird saying "I'll take AJ McCarron over Cam/JFF/Tebow" doesn't it? So I initially leaned toward ranking the 3 with that caveat. Sorry it got you all up in your feelings about Cam.

IF I need a win, Tebow.
IF I need yardage or a 1st down, Randall Cobb
IF I need yardage or a 1st down, Randall Cobb

I love it when a fan asks a question, then if you don't answer the way they want you to they want to argue and call you names. What is the point of him asking a question if he isn't really interested in how other people think?

I'm perhaps more interested in the "look at all the talent they had around them" bit as though Cam had none... I mean, if I'm going QBs that performed well despite not much talent around them, Andre Woodson at Kentucky threw 40 damn TDs in a season with not particularly great talent around him... Seems like I should maybe give him a look.
