The two that I know about are Riley and Jimbo. Riley actual contract close, jimbo contacted three times throughout the year by woodward on whether he would come or not.

Nope.

Both Riley and Fisher were contacted to gauge interest, that's as far as discussions went with them though.

According to people in the ops building anyway, all of the Riley mess was a smokescreen.

Agree to disagree. Each have different sources. Yours has reason to deny, mine doesn't.

If Bobby Petrino is so great, why were his only options UNLV and A&M?

BP's a good coach and he has proven (2016) that he can still be an excellent offensive coach.

I mean he polished up Lamar Jackson a bit as a passer but Lamar still never hit the 60% completion mark in college. Most of that offense was just Lamar making things happen.

LSU played them in a bowl that year and absolutely shut them down. 9 points scored, Lamar completed 37% of his passes, ran for about 1 yard per carry.

And that was an LSU team with 7 wins in the regular season.

Lamar returned the following year as the defending Heisman Trophy winner and they went 8-5.

And that’s how it happens when you are told NO.

There’s not a single HC or OC in the country that you could plug in at gay&m that would worry me. Jimbo’s poverty program is too far gone at this point

Let me check my notes….

All this handwringing is unnecessary.
Indeed!

But we'll still see some posters working like crazy to shite all over a damn coordinator hire.

Yet multiple posters from that fan base is bent out of shape over a coordinator hire.

Sounds about right. Zero chance Petrino takes it if he doesn't have full control.

He knows Dimbo is a tard.

You underestimate how many coaches don't keep up with the times and end up flash in the pans

Jimbo's offensive play calling hung 31 on you with a freshman QB making his 3rd start.

BMFP was brought in for a sit down to talk of the OC job. He didn’t get what he wanted. Complete control of the offense. So he went to UNLV. A shocked Jimbo had two weeks to think about losing his job after next year. So he called Bobby up and said the O is yours. BMFP made ONE thing clear. If Jimbo fricks with the O in any way Bobby is out of there immediately. And he will be paid in full. Don’t believe me? Why else would he leave a school after two weeks?

That’s make believe. Jimbo passed on Petrino to make a run at the guy at Washington St and the guy at Utah. He missed on both of them, so he circled back to Petrino.

Washington not Washington State.

And Riley as well.

What I remember about Petrino is that despite having some of the best running backs in players like McFadden, he couldn't for the life of him close out a game with the run.

Oh, and that time he got busted fricking some chick by wrecking his scooter.

I wonder if Jimbo will be completely hands off?

If so, Petrino could be to Jimbo as Brady was to Coach O.

I expect many Turbo Buffalo calls for TD's.

Yeah, which is why LSU fans are worried. Petrino has always given LSU trouble.
