And this goes back to my post at the top of the page. All of these coaches have skeletons in their closets that could damage them. Not necessarily fired but could cause them problems. All it takes is a person that wants to talk and some proof like in the Petrino deal.
Petrino's problems went well beyond some "on the side" shite though. He is a complete idiot and pretty much confirmed, once again, every negative about the guy.

What exactly did he accomplish?
I explained it in the post, but here it goes again. Keep in mind that he took over a depleted roster, and the West has been fricking nasty.
- first top ten finish in 35 years
- 21-5 over last two years. First BCS appearance in school history
- got the fanbase excited about football again.
- Arkansas launched massive facility upgrades and an eventual stadium expansion during his tenure. Never would have happened under Nutt.
- ranked in 40 consecutive AP polls.
- made Arkansas relevant nationally again
I'm sure I could think of more too.

Now that that's over with, where does Arkansas go next

That really should have been his only statement.

I'm sorry the story you've convinced yourself of is not necessarily true. Great coach in Saban, but always a suspect person.
It's pretty common knowledge that a lot of people in Michigan think that Miles was inappropriately involved with another coach's wife, among other people, when he was up there. Who knows if it's true, or if it goes on in BR, and that's not the point. The point is that they are as adamant about it in Michigan as people in BR are about Candy. It always makes me laugh that some LSU fans are so sanctimonious about their coach and so quick to judge the "suspect" actions of someone whose actions, while more abrupt, aren't necessarily that different when the niceties are stripped away from the core actions. The good vs. evil schtick is really transparent, and I think it's naive not to entertain the notion that even coaches that seem like nice guys have the edge that can be cutthroat, self centered, tyrannical, or narcissistic. And I bet a lot of them, as well as the assholes, have affairs and aren't dumb enough to hire their mistresses.

This is his best accomplishment IMO. If a new recruit comes for a visit and sees the new facilities , it show Arky will spend money to better the program.

I have read Petrino's statement several times.
"Given the decision that has been made, this is not the place to debate Jeff’s view of what happened"
"I wish that I had been given the opportunity to meet with the players and staff prior to this evening’s press conference and hope that I will be given the opportunity to give my apologies and say my goodbyes in person"
"I was not given an opportunity to continue in that position. I wish that had been the case, but that was not my decision"
Very carefully worded going forward in negotiating a buyout - IMHO.

You shut your whore mouth. The only affair Coach Miles has been found guilty of was the one with Jordan Jefferson.

Amazing! In a country that has abandoned its moral standing in most areas, and tolerates a President incapable of telling the truth, a coach with a chick on his motercycle lies and is fired. Right or wrong this is amazing.

Actually - miles' love affair with Jefferson was the most expensive affair ever.

LSU certainly learned a lesson from Saban and now we have a great coach of moral integrity.
Do you really know that?

Thanks.

Crow, just so you know, erections lasting longer than four hours require immediate medical attention.

I wonder if this was included because of the note he left the Falcon players when he left there.
