Bobby Petrino and the Petrino family are in my prayers. Hope it's nothing serious and he comes out safe and sound. Recover fast and Godspeed. Woo Pig Sooie

Statement by UofA

FAYETTEVILLE - Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening near the town of Crosses in Madison County, Arkansas. Arkansas State Police responded to the accident.

The university is releasing the following statement from coach Petrino's family.

"Coach Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that involved no other individuals. He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Our family appreciates respect for our privacy during the recovery and we are grateful for the thoughts of Razorback fans at this time."

Jeff Long, director of athletics and vice chancellor, said he has been in touch with the Petrinos and added that he will consult with the family to provide additional information at a later time. Until then, there will be no further information or comment on the accident per the Petrinos' request.

Well....bikers always say there are two different kinds of motorcycle riders. Those who have fallen, and those who will.

He's probably more pissed off that his, presumably, expensive arse bike got fricked up than he is about the ribs.

It was a gift from his wife, it was purchased at an auction where the money went towards charity.

He has been riding the thing consistently since he got it a couple years ago.

Petrino riding a bike. it isn't illegal, it's his choice.

I'm very libertarian. I think people ought to be able to ride motorcycles if they want to.

Hell, I think they ought to be able to go helmet-less if they want to. It would sure as hell cull the herd faster when the inevitable happens.

Ugh, thanks for the statement Petrinos, in which you didn't say shite. Now our terrible local media is gonna speculate this to death in the next few days. I just got exhausted thinking about it
