Saban a loyalty to Golding wasn’t a charade. He thinks very highly of him. It would be a solid pickup for Ole Miss but I’d also hate to lose Partridge, who was just in his first year as a coordinator. Both are exceptional recruiters.

So is Pruitt the leading candidate to be Bama's DC next year?

We just got rid of Golding, give us a minute

He's in the discussion but his cloud of toxicity is an issue. Leonhard runs the same base scheme (with other influences) and there's apparently been discussion there. How far it has advanced or the odds of it are pretty unknown, I think.

Well of course he is if he's cleared by the ncaa. Meanwhile the ncaa watches boosters across the nation pay for high school recruits.

Quick recap:
- It was Scott Cochran’s fault
- It was Tosh Lupoi’s fault
- It was Sark’s fault (hated him after tNatty loss)
- It was Pruitt’s fault (hated him after tNatty loss)
- It was Golding’s fault
- It was BoB’s fault

Friend, the coordinators aren’t the problem… and it saddens me that you can’t see that

But you willEventually.

Since I'm sure Saban reads tRant, I want to include a list of guys I'd be happy with as Golding's replacement

1. Schumann
2. Leonard
3. Pruitt
4. Lake

Coach Saban, please select one of the guys from the list above

Friend, Lane just stole our Top 6 Power 5 Defense Level DC.

I'm in mourning. Please don't pile on. That isn't sporting.

You forgot Locksley. Because that one was definitely his fault.

If this is true, this is ruining Georgia’s celebration.

I would believe you if you didn’t start this thread off with this delusional gem

Well that is factual. Defenses of 2008-2017 were better in every statistical category than the defenses of 2018-2022. There's no argument there. Your argument is that Alabama's defenses are still really good. That's fine. They aren't as good as the defenses from 2008-2017. At anything.

And friend, that makes me right, Saban is trying to get back to the days when the defenses were better than they are now. But he just might not be able to do it because, my dear friend Willy, it may be HIS fault!

Yesterday or day before I made it clear I didn't know anything and was just posting based on guesses and a general negative outlook on the situation.

Today is based on what people who actually know things have said. Which is much different.

SOG I feel like you are trying to help speak this move into existence without any real evidence.

And I support you in that effort.

I’ll take him. I get why Alabama doesn’t want him because it’s hard to follow up Kirby Smart. But he’s experienced and will help us improve I feel like. Both programs are getting what they want
