Chris Low reported it. There's one for you

Provide the link dude. I’ve been waiting on just one of you to provide a link for ANY of your unsubstantiated bullshite. Y’all are the kings of bullshite rumors. Just trust me bro. We had to narcan him on the bathroom floor. And then the powers that be in charge of a multi million dollar football program allowed him to continue on as our HC.

I'm questioning the report because it literally didn't come to fruition. Something like 20 members of your 2025 football staff are at LSU now, there were less than 10 people on those planes.

You're asking me to believe that Kiffin gave these guys an ultimatum, they said "No thanks". He left. There was another report that anyone who stayed would have their salaries doubled. At some point, Kiffin comes back and says just kidding, come work for me and they do?

Where is the logic in that?

The ultimatum was given in an emotional moment but obviously not enforced by Kiffin. Kiffin isn't that big of an idiot. The doubling of the salaries was for the playoffs.

Kiffin himself has said he wished he handled the exit better. He didn't go into details but that's the kind of stuff he's referring to.

As mentioned, it's not hard to find via google. Here's the first Google report referencing Chris Low saying he gave them an ultimatum.

LINK

Chris Low was Lane's national media mouthpiece while at Ole Miss. Not so much these days.

The logic is simple.

The Ole Miss camp made it up to try to claim no one wants to work for Lane and Oxford is the bees knees.

So the thought is that all of these guys were fine with Kiffin threatening their jobs and still left, despite having the option to stay in Oxford?

It's not like the 'ultimatum' was the first time Lane had discussed it with them. Walking off the field after beating OU, Lane jokingly turned to a couple of his assistants and asked them if they were ready to go to Florida yet.

I mean I think we all agree that it's possible Low was fed bad info.

It takes some mental gymnastics to believe all of these wild reports.

Does it take a lot of mental gymnastics to think that Lane was pissed about not coaching the playoff in the moment and reacted emotionally, then cooled off as time passes? I’m not sure that’s the leap you think it is.

The leap is to believe that assistants, who could stay where they are, are still going to go to a new place to work for a guy who just freaked out and threatened their jobs if they didn't get on a plane with him.

Yes it's just mean ole piss making him seem like such a piece of shite. Only ole piss fans are starting these threads and doing interviews about it. WHY WONT THEY JUST MOVE ON

Where did I say it was only OM fans? Kiffin is held to a different standard than every other coach in college football. He does bring it on himself by being such a social media troll and the way he left Tenn and fizzled out at USC doesn't help his cause either but in this particular instance, he didn't do anything that Sumerall didn't also do. The media (and OM) just made a big deal out of Kiffin while patting Summerall on the back.

Again, please inform me how Kiffin takes the LSU job in a fashion that would have been acceptable to you?

And waiting until after the playoffs and missing the portal window is not a real answer. No coach would do that and no program would allow an incoming coach to do that.

Paying better than market rate for most involved will do that for you. Weis is the highest paid OC in the country if memory serves. Our RB coach (I can’t remember his name now honestly) had his pay doubled. Our defensive coaches and their families alluded to the ultimatum as well. It was a bad break up. Things get said in the heat of the moment. From all reports, it was Lane and the offense vs Pete and the defense.

f we had just come out and said "I'm taking the LSU job because I think it's a better job" and walked away, Ole Miss fans would have been upset but that would have been the end of it.

So you admit that Pete is a snake. If he and his defensive staff hold the line, The AD HAS to let them all coach the playoffs and maybe OM wins a natty. His selfish play to be the HC cost yall an actual trophy.

you just referred to him as a mouthpiece for kiffin which would imply a reporting history of one-sided narratives and talking points and steering the narrative to the desired direction of the party giving the information aka running PR or propoganda

but now he is not a mouthpiece, strict straightforward journalist or is he only getting what someone wants him to hear and reporting that?

Somehow it got worse for OM fans when Carter hired this bozo. Will set the program back 10 years.

Don’t worry after he leaves or gets fired Auburn will hire him like they did freeze
