What happened to the supremely confident LSU fans from last week? I miss then.

LSU outplayed Bama the entire game and that opportunity blown drastically influenced the game

You need to look up the word "outplayed".

I do find it amusing that the LSU perception is that they were going to score, despite the fact that we had decimated your QB and your all-universe RB was averaging 3.8 ypc. You guys ran two more plays after that penalty:
Run by LF for 1 yard
Run by Anthony Jennings for -2 yards

You made the FG from the greater distance, and you still would have had to kick a FG from the shorter distance.

Besides, we committed 20 yards worth of penalties in OT and you STILL couldn't keep us out of the end zone. Blame the refs all you want, but in crunch time your pansy defense couldn't get the job done.

I know the butthurt Gator posts will come shortly, but I find it hilarious how the LSU posters love to post the GIF of the LSU guy falling to the ground after the Gator player slaps him after they are battling it out.

Then call this play BS. Alas all fan bases are hypocrites. Funny when your player punks a guy and a horrible call by the ref when it happens to your team.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I tried to find the gif, but my Google-fu is apparently weak...

I won't say it cost LSU the game but he did apologize later for the call. Should have been a no call IMO.

I can just imagine Buga throwing a punch in the Bama game and getting ejected by Ritter. There would be carnage.

We played a hell of a game and yes there were a few questionable calls that made it harder to win, but we missed other plays in that game.

Those bastards ultimately made the plays when it counted to win. Come on Nov 7.

If the refs hadn't called it it would have been 2nd and goal from the five. We had no passing game, and as you can see in the video, we weren't going to run it in. We got the same three points we would have gotten. Plus, only an LSU homer could think that wasn't a penalty.

LSU scores there and the game is over. Not enough time left for bama to force OT.

Wow.

This is exactly how I feel about the play and situation from the opposite side of the field.

As for the people thinking it should have been a no call, I wonder if they feel the penalty called on Brown on Bama's first play in OT should have been a no call too.

You are such a fricking pussy. LSU is the only undefeated SEC team and has the best player in the country and you start a thread about a bad call that you say cost LSU the game in 2014. This is why the respect for your program ends with your fans. LSU fans can go frick themselves.

I don't give two sh*ts what anybody thinks, bottom line is LSU wins if they don't throw that BS flag! BOTH teams were clearly pushing and shoving after the whistle was blown, if anything you call it on BOTH and they negate each other. In this type of game and at this point in the game a BS penalty like this should NEVER be called! Let them play the d*mn game, it's football for Christ's sakes not badminton or ballet!

That's like, your opinion, man.

First of all, the flag wasn't BS but your fanhood won't allow you to acknowledge that fact for some reason even though multiple LSU posters on here have already done so.

Everyone in the stadium and watching at home knows your coach was going to run it up the middle 3 times and then, if no TD, kick it to take the lead. You weren't likely to get a TD there with that strategy.

All you had to do was make the stops on D on Bama's final drive and you win the game. That penalty didn't decide the game. You still had the lead with less than a minute to go and Bama needed a FG to tie. With our kicker we had to get VERY close for that to be a realistic make. Your D could have ended it. You didn't.

Then in OT Bama had 20 yards of penalties on a 25 yard field and STILL overcame that to win. Winners find a way to overcome. Losers find a way to blame others. Your team should have made the plays.
