Or is it just a matter of LSU being scared of Florida? Because for some odd reason, it's always LSU fans that seem to cry about the game, rarely Florida fans(ok, I can't think of any Florida fans that cry about it, but I'll assume it happens).

It is odd...Florida fans rarely complain about LSU... yet the bitching and wailing and hand wringing the other way is never ending.

But keep this in mind about the LUSer fans.... it isn’t all about poor wittle discriminated and cheated LSU... it is also about Alabama, their feared and dominating nemesis, a nemesis that doesn’t give a rat’s azz about them 51 weeks of the year...and this is maddening. If LUSers ran the show they would make a division composed of LSU, OMiss, State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Missouri. and Arkansas... then it would be ok until they got beat repeadly in the SEC game... then it wouldn’t be fair that they had to play an extra game.

You have to realize just how isolated and self absorbed this fan base is... I live down here and have to listen to imaginary paranoia all the time on the golf course. The funniest is when some LUSer starts ranting about how LSU shouldn’t ever lose because “they have all that talent.” Asking if it is possible other teams have “talent” too just produces a blank stare ... I tell you by and large much of this State is pretty ignorant about anything going on in the rest of the South....

This is a unique, original topic that could not possibly have been discussed prior to this thread.

So you’re against permanent cross divisional rivalries but you want Bama and Auburn to be PCDs...

Enjoy it now. When Saban retires Bama will fall to crap again. It's going to be a fun shite show to watch.

You must be a youngster or just dumb. You think Bama started winning when Saban got there? Bama has won a national championship every decade since the 1920s except the 50s and 80s, and they’ll win more after Saban is gone. Not to mention 31 conference championships (4 Southern, 27 SEC). Saban did bring Bama out of 15 years wandering in the desert, but Bama has been winning big almost since the game was invented.

This is the correct solution. Makes UF's schedule tougher, but it's the right thing to do.

You have to be cognizant of the FACT that certain other schools WANT/NEED to keep their own permanent opponents so they can have an easier path to bowl games...i.e. Ole Ms/Vandy/KY/ARky/MO/SC ALL want to keep the easier opponent and will NEVER vote for a 'balance/fair' schedule !

Weekly LSU Bitching Checklist

[ ] Refs in the LSU game

[ ] Refs in the Bama game

[ ] Refs in games that happened years ago

[X] Location of SEC offices

[X] Cross division opponents

[ ] SEC replay officials

[ ] Florida moving the location of the hurricane game years ago and then beating LSU.

Oh yea that's why Ole Miss plays Vanderbilt every year. Dumbest post of the day.

Go ahead and line up the games better using 1992 strengths.

Vandy has 10 wins since 1992, so basically the same record LSU has vs Florida except Ole Miss vacated 2 wins.

Honestly, I like playing Florida every year. It’s always a fun game. I can’t think of another east opponent i’d Rather play regularly other than Georgia maybe. Though it would be fun to beat up on mizzou more often. Mizz-poo sucks.

It’s a huge recruiting advantage to have LSU play Florida.

It would be woeful for recruits to have to sit thru a mizzou game guaranteed every other year in tiger stadium.

The UF game brings......well, game day. Which would you Rather see?

I've never understood why LSU whines about this

because they think they're in the national title hunt every year, and bama gets an "auto win" against tennessee. Never mind the fact that LSU also loses to Alabama every year.

They like to point out Alabama's "entitlement" but that comes from a century of success. LSU is entitled with 3 skins on the wall and thinks they're at the big boy table. It's tough to watch at times, because they really believe they're among the nations elite programs. They are elite compared to South Carolina and Mississippi state. They are peasant scum compared to Alabama

I don’t give a crap about any “unfairness” in scheduling. I like the LSU / UF game. However, I would enjoy a rotation that allowed us to play other SEC east teams more often. Hell, I’d be ok with figuring out a way to keep the 2 sacred cross division games and putting everyone else on a rotation.

Athens is a great road trip.
Knoxville is a great road trip.
Nashville is a great road trip.

I want to play them more than once every 12 years. Get rid of permanent cross division rivalries.

This is what I'd like to see.

Although honestly, I'm one of the few who doesn't care if we play Tennessee and Auburn every year. I feel like less is more in many ways. I could rotate them all and it would be fine. But Auburn/Georgia will never in a million years give up that rivalry.

But that can't happen because they want NO perm c-d rivals.

So, that means the SEC is to do __________???

You can't do both: swap Aub. & no c-d games.

What does that do to IB?

Summer, we know this.

But there is still no dispute about the easy schedule bama has.

Bill Belichik and the Patriots are the GOAT,

But we all know they have the easiest schedule.

Having said that, as an LSU fan, it wouldn’t be football if we didn’t play bama, Florida, and Auburn every year.

I really wish we played Georgia more often.....
I think we will.
