That's actually a pretty damn good idea

That's on Tennessee. They need to be better.

I don't want to ever lose the LSU Florida game. It's a fun game every year.

Name one fricking year that Florida beats Bama since 2008

Why since 2008?

What was is before Saban and before Foley hired Muschamp and McElwain.

LSU had the tougher SECE opponent by far.
Bama next and AU had an average UGA.

Tennessee lead the rivalry against Alabama in the 92-2006 span by like 10-4.

Alabama would have lost to Florida as well in that period.

this really needs to be revisted bama who just so happens to be neighbor with sec headquarters gets to play tenn while lsu has florida yea that is fair..

This is a pretty bad take. Tennessee were world beaters for a long time, and that Alabama-UT rivalry has only recently become a joke.

That said, I do think the permanent cross-divisional forced “rivalries” are kind of shitty just to appease a handful of schools. Going to a 9 game conference schedule would help to even things out, but I don’t think many of the programs really want to do that either and risk additional losses, injuries, etc.

Move Auburn to the East and Mizzou to the West. Add a 3rd cross-division game (1 fixed and 2 rotational) and there'll only be a 2-year break between each cross-division team rotating back on the schedules. (Ban playing FCS opponents.)

East vs West fixed opponents:
Auburn vs Bama
Georgia vs A&M (or LSU)
Florida vs LSU (or A&M)
Tennessee vs Mizzou
S Carolina vs Arkansas
Kentucky vs Miss St
Vandy vs Ole Miss

Rework schedules so they are fair -- 1 stronger and 1 weaker rotating opponent every season; ensure no unfair stretches of SEC opponents or away games; OOC rivalry home games UGA-GT, USC-CU, UK-LV in same seasons as 5th SEC away games. All cross-division games played before November, so there's at least a month before any potential rematch in the SEC CG.

What isn't fair is that Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee (I know they are down right now)have to play each other every year while the other teams get a pass. It isn't right and never will be right. Fix it.

Moving Aub. East ENDS either the IB or TSIO.

Which do you prefer?

Keep this in mind Pierre, losing to Florida hasn't kept LSU out of the SEC champ game ever.

Completely false. It happened in 1996 and 2006 just off the top of my head. I bet I could find more if I went back and looked.
