Coaching changes are always cut throat. So because we got Elko to take the Head Coaching job we’re supposed to be less upset because we did the same thing to Duke.
No doubt, I'd be angry too. It's just odd that many Aggies are trying to make this coaching move immoral or something when everyone steals coaches.

Please….Duke didn’t just play in the ship and then dip the next day and take the entire coaching staff.
Does it make them feel better because they didn't play for a championship?
He didn't take the whole staff but he did take some coaches.

Think if North Carolina took Coach K after he lost the National Championship. That hurts quite a bit more.

You dumb tiger frick. Elko was the defensive coordinator at A&M for years. He loved it at A&M and the only reason he left was for a head coaching job. Schlong cheated on his wife, multiple times, and did all kinds of shitty thing to players during his time at TCU and A&M. Schlong never coached at Texas. Your comparing apples to oranges.

Meh, I understand Aggies have to justify this to themselves, they would never be the bad guys after all.

The amount of time and effort you put into all things A&M is sad. Log off the internet for a few months. You might find there's more to life than being a sad sack troll.

Eh, pretty big difference between Elko, leaving Duke and what happened with Schloss. And I think you know that. Kinda low level troll effort from you.
It’s one thing to leave a few days after you’ve “indicated” you’re sticking around, main season is over, just a bowl game ahead. And it’s totally another to chew out a reporter for directly asking you and proceeding to lie to their face about staying less than 24 hours before you leave. And being in negotiations with your next school during a title run.
Look, Aggies are no doubt mad about it, who would want to lose a good coach to an instate rival right after he leads you to playing in a championship game? But I’d argue more of the outrage is in how it transpired not just that it happened. Had the longhorns fired their coach and came after him a month from now, Aggies would still be mad, but less so than they are this week.
You forgot to mention Elko didn't try to gut the Duke program by taking all the coaches and attempting to bring players over.
It isn't Schloss choosing to go to Texas vs A&M. It is the timing, method and intent of the actions that tell the story. It is nothing like anything that has happened before.

Yep, they took John Chavis while he was still cashing checks from LSU.
Aggies got what they deserve.
Enjoy your low character coach Longhorns.

It’s a comparison among rival schools. We don’t have the championship pedigree, but I thought you knew that?

not that you or any 'sip on the face of the planet would understand the difference, but there is quite a bit of difference between a coach who is being pursued after the season, and one that is secretly leaving his team three months before the end of the season and recruiting his players to another school in the middle of the pinnacle of their season.
And I'd gather that NO school in the country who was hiring a coach would drop that bombshell on the eve of his most important game in his life.
Like two other SEC coaches said, that would be an immediate alarm bell that would tell them they're not going to that school after all.
Again, not expecting any t-sip to understand that. they dont have the capacity to.
