People who think Missouri does not care about baseball are dead wrong.

Missouri is one of the most baseball crazy states in the country. The only reason Mizzou dose not draw well is because by the time March and April come around its Royals and Cardinals Season.

All the SEC schools that have good support are in states without a pro sports team. I for one love college baseball as well as pro baseball, Im a ROYALS FAN!! I'm from the west side of the state. But I follow mizzou baseball just a close.

SEC Schools with big time support and large stadiums:
LSU
Arkansas
Mississippi
Ole' Miss
Alabama? support sucks right now but so does the team
same with Auburn
Vandy
South Carolina
WHAT Do all these schools have in common????? THEY ARE IN A STATE WITHOUT MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL.

Missouri has 2 MAJOR LEAUGE TEAMS both just 2 hours from Mizzou you add that to the fact that we have not been very good and that is going to give you poor support. The softball team is good and gets great support, the baseball team draws good as well when they have winning seasons. They will never draw like LSU or Arkansas because we are a pro baseball state just like Georgia, Florida, etc..

You think college baseball takes away from South Carolina, Ole Miss, and Alabama fans caring about the Braves?

Hey last season they almost made the playoffs. It was fun watching them in the playoff hunt and having Fox Sports and ESPN talking about them in the month of Sept.

Any team that has a world series title counts, they won 85 games last season and look to win the central this year

I think if you have your option of walking out of your office and across the street to catch a pro game or driving 2 hours and catching a college game, 9 times out of 10 you are going to pick the pro game.

shite the Royals was a power back in the 70's-mid 80's. Owner just don't want to pay the big bucks now

There was a time when the Royals and Yankees were rivals. Heard about those games.

the reason no one supports lsu football is because the saints are an hour away.

and go to an astros game, tons of purple and gold in the stadium.

I think that has been admitted, though I wouldn't say it has always sucked. The shame is that even when it was good, it wasn't supported.

you can't compare college football and pro football Mizzou draws fine in football with the Chiefs and Rams right down the road.

For the 2012 season:

Texas A&M and Texas were ranked #6 and #7 in attendance.
FSU and Florida were ranked #8 and #9.
Texas Tech and Baylor were ranked #15 and #16.
Rice was #22.
Miami was # 23.
Georgia was 27.
UCF was #34.
Georgia Tech was #39
Georgia Southern was #43.
Texas State was #46.

And i didn't even consider the California and Arizona teams.

I love how you don't show the numbers. The top 5 to 10 all average around 5,000 more then everybody else. After that there is about a 200-500 person difference between all the schools. So that is really not relevant. Also Texas is so big it does not count. Florida State is not close to any of the local MLB Teams, and nobody in Miami likes the Marlins.

Missouri having two pro baseball teams makes about as much sense as Ohio having two.
