Did you go to The Palace today to watch LSU?

Yeah. I was there. Didn't go with much hope. Arkansas' 3s killed the Tigers.

I did think the home crowd was flat for almost the whole game.

If baseball is so big in states like KY, LA, AR, MS, and SC - why do so few people go to the ball park? Season attendance in those states is about the same as a good week in MO. Just curious is it because how poor the states are, they can't afford tickets, or is baseball really not that important in those states?

Wasn't as loud today. Loud at times. Good enough, of course.

So few?

LSU and Arkansas have been 1-2 in attendance figures for lord knows how long.

Ole Miss and SC are almost always top 5.

Where do you get so few from?

He's trying to call other states poor because their college teams don't draw as many as the St. Louis Cardinals do.

College baseball attendance added up is probably less than the Royals. So yeah, I do not see why people claim college baseball is a big deal. I'm not even going to start with Cardinals.

I can't figure out why some Missouri fans resort to sarcasm and hate to put down SEC baseball. Are they all posting down on us from a skybox at Cardinal Stadium?

Bama fans like to put down SEC baseball but that is because their not good at it and that is their way of dealing with sports they're not good at.

I love SEC baseball and going to games. Plenty of the guys in the SEC will end up on MLB rosters.

I don't get it either. People in SEC country are just as big of MLB fans as they are fans of their respective schools. They appreciate baseball so they are willing to support both. I had Braves season tickets for years while I was living in Atlanta, have been to countless Cards games since I moved to Missouri and would still go to a game at Baum in a heartbeat because it is just as fun as the two MLB parks.

Maybe Mizzou will get there some day but I doubt it when their fans have this kind of opinion. It's become almost cool to look down upon their own program.

Busch Stadium. I don't think anyone looks down on SEC baseball. I only wish Mizzou would compete in it. Saying people in Missouri don't like BASEBALL is taken literally though when it's not qualified as COLLEGE BASEBALL fan. When it's posed as BASEBALL of course they're going to respond because believe it or not, there are some really passionate baseball fans in Missouri.

As for SEC players on MLB rosters...need not look any further than the Cards and Wacha and who knows, maybe one day Katz.

Missouri fans do not start the sarcasm and hate. We just point out the hypocrisy.

Oh shite. Here we go. Royals fan?

ETA - Nevermind. See you're in KC. Dude, St. Louis fans are some of the most welcoming fans in the league. IMO almost too welcoming. At the same time, yeah, going to enjoy it when the team does well. Just so happens they've been doing well for quite some time. Wasn't always like that. 70's were pretty bleak. 90's not a ton better until late in the decade.

Cards fans were cheering for Ryan Theriot a couple years ago and Bo Jackson was one of the biggest stars to dawn a Royals jersey.

Don't know why I posted Cardinals stadium? It is Busch and the Royals play at Kaufman.

Saw the hate on here all last year and expect to see plenty of it again this year.

Plenty of "we don't give a shite, we have the Cards" comments posted.

No I don't. Frankly they're too polite on the whole. Busch Stadium is hardly an inhospitable place to play. They give standing ovations to opposing players when warranted. Arrogant because they celebrate the team's success? Hell, I don't think they celebrate it enough. Really, pretty reserved in their celebrations.

Dude, Mizzou baseball gets trolled on here all the time. No Cardinal fans came in blazing talking shite first. What you are calling hate, is just responding to trolls. Most Mizzou fans admit we are lackin in support and hope to see improvement.

Yep, you're right, kinda like Husker fans when they were doing good. Sorry man, couldn't resist.
