I was unaware the criteria was anything but what the media makes it.

Try again is a denial that RIII deserves the Award over the others that are up there.

Anybody that voted for a guy that scored 3 points against Oklahoma St or has played 1 top 50 passing defense is a loon IMO.

If Baylor played in the SEC his 3900 yards turns into 2000.

ESPN won him the Award with a B.S. poll that pushed weak minded people to vote for RG3,here is the POLL.

ESPN predicts RG3 to win ,they never tell that a POLL of only ESPN workers WERE POLLED ,if they called around the nation and got a random sample of voters ,their poll would have SOME CRED.,But they polled a CLICK OF PEOPLE AT ONE COMPANY,and then said RG3 by our poll is PREDICTED TO WIN.

Hello,DO YOU THINK CBS,ABC,CNN could get away with going to ONE area and taking a poll about the DEMS or REPS. ? ,CBS EXEX. Yes we went to Mass. and polled 600 people about the presidential race ,the DEMS lead the REPS by a 85-15 clip, looks like the DEMS are going to win...
LMAO,they would be run out on a rail,BUT THAT IS WHAT THESE PIN HEADS AT ESPN JUST DID.

Any Bama fan compaining about ESPN lobbying for someone else is a delusional, incompetent dumbass. Didn't ESPN lobby for Bama to get a rematch against LSU in the BCSNCG?

It's true the media won RG3 the award. He's a great QB but not the best QB in the nation by far. Much less the best player overall.

As soon as ESPN projects something, they make it true. The voters start thinking, well I need to vote that way now because I don't want to be the idiot that didn't do it when the media is saying everyone else did.

Bama fans have no right to criticize ESPN for hyping a player for the heisman.

Let me belatedly give the credit where credit is due...I first saw this story over on ShaggyBevo:

Paul Finebaum left RG3 off his Heisman ballot

I was following a story from the Coaching Changes board and saw the RG3 thread, noticed there wasn't a similar one here. Very unusual for me to not give credit and I don't want to start getting into the habit now.

BTW, ya'll should read over the posts in that thread. Comedy gold!

I think Mark Schlabach voted right. He had 1. TR, 2, TM7, 3. RG3. I honestly believe TR and TM7 are the best playmakers in CFB this year relative to the level of competition.

RG3 will win because of a great game against an overrated Texas but I think it should be between the 2 SEC players.

@finebaum Finebaum Network Much heat leaving RG3 off my Heisman ballot. Nice player- but SEC defenses would have eaten him alive. Haters get a clue.

No they wouldn't have. Did they eat Cam alive last year?

He's faster and a better thrower

Neither is the competition he played against bro. Call me when he's the #1 pick in the NFL draft and sets all time NFL records.

If you don't think RGIII is deserving than you clearly did not watch Baylor play football.

Notice only the Bama fans are arguing that Trent should have won? Everyone else seems to be in agreement that they made the right choice.
