So sad and a loss for everyone, even those that don't know it. I am glad it didn't linger and she is now at rest.

She was a legend and a great lady. I'm glad she's no longer in the grip of Alzheimer's.

Her contribution to sports is legendary, but the legacy of grace and respect she instilled in every young woman and young man she mentored is beyond measure. Truly one of the great examples of what we are capable of as human beings. God bless you, Pat Summitt.

She will be missed. She didn't just make women's basketball better- she made sports better altogether.

Condolences to the Summit family and Vol nation. She had the most piercing eyes and when she stared down someone during a game, you knew there was going to be hell to pay.

Rest in Peace, Pat Summit. Your legacy will live through the many lives you touched.

I was never lucky enough to meet her, but I respected her and was a fan of the way she coached. She was tough, loyal, and fair. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and the Tennessee fans. You never recover when you lose a legend.

She made the SEC proud and more importantly, she made Tennessee proud.
